Starters belong in the PC, unless you count using Evee in Yellow as a starter
>>
>>12236776
>evolving mons before lvl 50 at least
cringe
>>
>>12236947
hahah, i like my dopamine seeing the pokemon evolving to new form

Also, I just beat the Steel gym whose leader had the level 35 Steelix. After that the trainers I fought at Rage Lake and the rocket place had very low levelled mons. Is that intented? It feels all the trainers throughout multiple gyms before are having really low level pokemons
>>
>>12236967
the steelix thing was supposed to be a surprise of sorts anyway. cute girl throws you 2 familiar and weak looking pokemon, then out of nowhere out comes the heaviest pokemon in all of Gen2
>>
>>12236992
Next I want you to defend the fact that 90% of pokemons I see are from the 1st generation
>>
>>12236776
Hell yeah
>>
>>12236967
I think it's so you can go east or west from ecruteak and you won't be level gated
>>
>>12237006
i don't know. it's their first time making a new generation? johto and kanto border each other?
>>
>>12237006
NTA but the Gen 2 dex was meant to be all the "newly discovered" Pokemon, so it makes perfect sense that they're rare

B-B-B-BASED

from a video i made 9 years ago going up against Red in Crystal using a challenge hack that just slightly tweaks the difficulty up

Extremely based.

even pokemon fans can't stand playing the game more than once a decade

Whenever someone posts their team and there is no starter, I get pissed off. Fuck you, op
>>

>>

>>12238114
Yeah fuck you faggot. Why dont you go play the game
>>
>>12240719
Kys nigger
>>
>>12240663
when someone calls these games "replayable" i get confused because it'd mean going through the same fucking long scripted tutorials over and over again
>>
>>12241628
Just press A
>>
>>12238114
Absolute soul
>>
>>12241628
The tutorialized games are the ones starting with Gen 5. Gen 3 and 4 a little bit too but not nearly as bad. Gen 1 and 2 are so amazing because it just lets you fucking play from the get go and there are almost no interruptions for some stupid story only retards care about. Gen 1 is especially replayable because there are many different ways to go through the games world and you can do almost every single gym after the 2nd one in any order you want and skip many sections of the game if you trade in mons that already know the HM moves.

Replayability also skyrockets if you have a second game with a completed save file and trade in mons you can't normally get until way later, I like to do this via Gen 2 because you can breed them and they begin at level 5, that way you can start the game with whoever you want without them being over-leveled and disobeying. It's a bit of set up to do this(actually if you don't care about "legitimacy" you can do this in a few clicks in PKHex) but its well worth it. I played Blue version probably 40 times last year and it felt fresh every time and there were always surprise twists, especially because I'm not an autist that knows which mons are optimal or when they learn moves etc. I just picked ones I liked or thought were funny. Sometimes mons I was sure would suck turned out to be powerhouses or learner a really good move, or sometimes I made terrible picks and the game became really challenging.
>>
>>12240954
>>12241624
I got a bit burnt out from playing so many times and it's also just the only team screenshot I have on hand. I just think it's a good example of using a team that presents challenges and isn't normie as fuck. I also usually play Gen 1 which doesn't display your winning team in a single screenshot so oh well. I'll post a new one next time if it makes you cry less though.
>>
>>12242359
>second game trade in mons
you can do this running two of the same emulators i think if you really wanna be weird about legitimacy
>>
>>12242372
Yup, thats what I do! Pokemon Stadium makes this really easy, Ares supports it perfectly even the GB Tower works which I don't think it does in any other emulator.
>>
>>12236747
That's a de game
>>
>>12242418
*DS
God dammit
>>
>>12242370
Lmao for sure I feel that. I like gen 1 alot. Been playing this one called yellow legacy its pretty good
>>
>>12236747
>>12242423
>>12242418
Its actually a gba game with alot of gen 4 sprites ported over special physical split. Gen 2 gen 1 some gen 3 and 4 mons. Also the moves are either gen 4 or 5. But im not exactly sure. Its a pretty great rom hack
>>
>>12242380
You CAN get the GB Tower to work in PJ64 with angrylion and parallel, but it's slow as dick.
Didn't know it worked in Ares though, so thanks I might try that.
