Honestly they both feel like 5th gen consoles. Dreamcast doesn't has that 6th gen feel and shares a lot of games with the Playstation 1.

When I was playing Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 on my GameCube I never remotely got the feeling that it didn't belong or that it belonged on the PS1 or N64. At best I feel it occupies the same spot the PC Engine did for 4th gen or the 3DO did for 5th gen.
