Damn...
>>
>>12237852
Mode 7 looks so stupid honestly
>>
>>12237852
the song that plays on the overworld during that is utterly haunting.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOyOrRuOE_w
>>
>>12237867
FPBP, also what's with the weird off-shades in every SNES game? Looks like shit.
>>
>>12237870
Yeah dude the music really hammers in the devastation that Kefka wrought. I completely understand why he is a beloved antagonist.

That being said, Kefka doesn't canonically listen to Limp Bizkit like a certain other FF bad guy.
>>
>>12237852
I was in WOB during the last thread and just made WOR yesterday so this is appropriate

t-edition atma weapon was raping me hard and fast until I realized I can use carbuncle to reflect all the flares and rush his health down before he does the global nuke.
>>
>>12237867
>>12237898
Keep crying tranons, I am going to gather up your tears and use them to lube up my dick when I jerk off.
>>
>>12237913
Hell yeah bro! This game is the tits!
>>
>>12237918
The only one crying here is you, mode 7 looks like shit like any 2d racer
>>
>>12237852
>I'll just keep spamming the same thread over and over
fuck off
>>
>one year with an unconscious celes and no one else around
would you stay pure or do the needful?
>>
>>12237948
he's basically her grandpa you perv
get your rocks off on the dying monsters outside if you're that horny
>>
>>12237948
if I had to look at that font and butchered sprites for more than a few days Id lose my will to live too
>>
>>12237852
Zamn, so fucking zased.
>>
>>12237948
Glad I decided to play the SNES version
>>
>>12237984
I really like that font, it's clean.
>>
>>12237938
Mmmmm your tears or so salty and delicious
>>
>>12237948
>literal world is ending event
>still have time to pick flowers for a pretty bouquet
>>
>>12237870
fun fact, the pixel version fucking REMOVED this song as the overworld theme to use searching for friends instead

holy fucking shit I hate demakes so much
>>
>>12237910
its gotta be seifer, right?
>>
>>12238237
Go play Strangers of Paradise nigger
>>
>>12238234
That is unbelievably gay
>>
Here we go again with that anon saying that Mode 7 is ugly and useless...
>>
>>12237898
>also what's with the weird off-shades in every SNES game
>every SNES game
FF6 has a great color palette it's a major distinguishing factor from other JRPGs of the era both on the SNES and other consoles.
>>12237984
indeed
>>
>>12237913
I do hope you didn't give up trying to beat the boss after him. It looks like it's a battle you cannot win, but it is possible and you get something good for it. If not, oh well.
>>
>>12238517
damn that sucks, I had no fucking clue it was winnable. I thought I was really close to beating him but he wrecked me with comet and then the game kept going it so I said whatever. you mind telling me what item I missed out on?
>>
>>12238234
>fun fact, the pixel version fucking REMOVED this song as the overworld theme to use searching for friends instead
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50AO4eGK9xE
It's still playing in the video.
>>
>>12238535
also can I just say that ultros and typhon fight with only 3 party members was fucking BRUTAL. hardest fight in WOB. I had to pull out all the stops, get lucky with RNG and still barely survived after several attempts. cant wait to see how ball busting WOR is going to be.
>>
>>12238546
That said, I'll always recommend the original over pixel remaster. I think they hurt the game's atmosphere in a lot of ways.
>>
>>12238535
A growth egg. It's not earthshaking, and you get another one later, but still nice to have.
>>12238548
Yeah, get ready to get your expectations subverted. A lot.
>>
>>12238546
it uses dark world before you get the airship, but afterwards you get searching for friends whether youre flying or not. dark world is my favorite track in the whole game so it miffed me.
>>
>>12238559
>afterwards you get searching for friends whether youre flying or not
That's how it worked in the original too actually. You can hear Dark World again in Narshe at least. I agree, awesome song and sets the perfect mood.
>>
>>12238559
That was also the case in the original.

>be nintendo
>such a firm understanding of 3D that it shoehorns a busted version of it into the SNES that its competitors cant touch
>be Sega
>ignore 3D
>be Nintendo
>make N64 a huge success despite it being a retardedly designed console, purely off the back of the 3D hype
>be Sega
>made Sega Saturn not good at 3D and it ruined the company forever

really makes you think
>>
are there any other rpgs that are
>first half linear and story focused
>second half open and exploration/gameplay focused
I really loved this structure
>>
>>12238234
>fun fact, the pixel version fucking REMOVED this song
>holy fucking shit I hate demakes so much
I hate you for tripping over your own insane biases and mindlessly spreading lies.

This place is so unreliable I'm starting to wonder what's the point in reading when half the shit written is false and someone has to get in and correct these over emotional BITCHES.

>>12238562
>>12238563
>>12238564
Thank you.
>>
>>12239120
pixel demake is still shit even if that anon is retarded.
>>
>>12239125
Hold whatever opinion you want, it's not a permission to spread misinformation.

For me, It's Locke's Theme
>>
>>12239120
>>12239129
Calm down, that anon already admitted he misremembered. I know it's 4chan where it's chic to mercilessly shit on others for being stupid or misinformed, but I don't think he was sincerely lying.
>>
>>12239232
Here comes the single mom piping up defending her kid. "He a good boy he know he wrong"

At some point this repeated behavior needs to be called out. Unless you love correcting stupid shit, then I suggest /v/

And that's that.
>>
where should I go first after getting the new airship in WOR?
>>
>>12239293
Where ever you want nigga
>>
>>12239327
thanks
>>

I seem to remember you need to talk to the girl NPC about getting letters from her fiancee and it then shows you the letter pidgeon taking the letter to mountain near Zozo. You need rust remove to open door in Zozo to access the mountain. In the mountain you find Cyan who reveals he's been sending the letter to the girl pretending to be the dead fiancee. Cyan tips of finding Gau in Veldt. I think Gau can't be re-recruited before re-recruiting Cyan.

Then in Narshe you can find Mog (if you recruited him in the first half). With Mog you can recruit Umaro deeper in the mines.

In that one island you can let the worm enemy swallow you to get access to the cave with Gogo in it.

Depending if you waited for Shadow, you can find Relm in cave near Thamasa. Later Relm is working on the painting in the rich guy's house in the auction town. After recruiting Relm you can bring her to the cultist tower to recruit Strago. Shadow is recruited in the Colosseum.
>>
>>12239396
Bringing Cyan to his hometown and sleeping there you get access to the Cyan nightmare and clear it to beat the 3 stooges.

Taking Figaro underground gets you access to the underground dungeon with Odin and Raiden espers.

I dunno if you need to first talk to the guy in the hous with Locke's dead alive girlfriend to access Phoenix Cave. Phoenix Cave requires you to use 2 parties to clear and you recruit Locke. With Locke you can open the locked door in Narshe to talk to the guy for Ragnarok esper or Ragnarok sword.
>>
>>12239293
If this is your first time through the game, just land wherever, talk to NPCs, make note of what they say, and follow their leads in order of what sounds most interesting to you. You'll have to search around in some cases, but this will most closely capture the intended progression for the game, where there's no one correct path through.

Or... do you wanna break the game? in that case, go to the Narshe continent, get Bum Rush for Sabin, then go to Narshe proper and get Mog and his Moogle Charm, then go raid every dungeon for all the treasure they hold. Congrats, the game is now a complete joke.
>>
>>12239293
go to narshe immediately and get mog and umaro, and most importantly molulu's charm which gives you no random encounters. now you can raid the cultists tower, kefkas tower and wherever else for loot with no risk. get whoever you want for your main party and then whoevers left in any order next, but save locke for the end since you need 8 party members to get through that dungeon.
>>
>>12239408
>you need 8 party members to get through that dungeon
Debatable
>>
>>12239412
Not even debatable. You can do it with just two. Have Mog with his Moogle Charm on one party, and either Terra or Celes with a max MBlock setup on the other. Pretty much nothing will touch you.
>>
I dont use it otherwise, but I will never, ever go through the cultists tower without the moogle charm. I died once as a kid on the way DOWN and lost all my progress. never again. fuck that shit.
>>
>>12239293
The forest near Veldt is dinosaur forest. It's good place to grind, there are Tyrannosaurs and Brachiosaurs who yield lotsa EXP.

You can make short visit to the final dungeon to pick up Setzer's Fixed Dice, the weapon is located near the entrance. Then simply leave the dungeon.
>>
Every FF should have a random encounter disabler
>>
>>12239429
every jrpg with random encounters is massively improved with an off switch. Ive gotten spoiled with emulators to the point where I wont even play them if I cant find an encounters off cheat code for it that I can toggle.
>>
>>12239432
Yeah I can tolerate random assortments of goons for approximately 10 hours, by then they really start to wear me down, sooner if backtracking is involved.
>>
>>12239429
I think random encounters should have more meaningful gains like FF7 having you able to steal Aerith's weapon from Eligoor rare enemy in train graveyard, Cloud's sword from Soldier 3rd Class from Shinra HQ and enemy skills from the robot outside Midgar, L4 Suicide from squirrels from grasslands, Flame Thrower from the dragons in Mithril Mines, White Wind from Zemzelett in Junon area, Big Guard from the octopus enemies in beaches around Gold Saucer, Aqualung from Chimera in desert and grassland around Gold Saucer, Frog Song from the frogs around Gongaga and so on.

Have the random encounters have more to yield than you normally would.
>>
>>12239429
>>12239432
If you disable the majority of the combat and one of the main aspects of gameplay you might as well watch the game on youtube.

>>12239460
It's the opposite, you should risk losing more during random encounters as that's where tension comes from. Being too easy and risk free is usually what makes random encounters boring.
>>
>>12239460
I prefer how games like Dragon Quest 11 handle random encounters.... by not making them random. Just have the monsters in the overworld. Having a few ambushes sprinkled around is fine.
>>
>>12240842
I still leave them on 80% of the time, sometimes I just want to explore the map or check the dungeon for chests without having to worry about it. plus it keeps me lower level so boss fights are more interesting. go fuck yourself retard, theres much more to rpgs than just mashing attack through random trash mobs.
>>
>>12241471
NTA but I like my characters getting stronger from fighting battles. It's like the experience of fighting makes them reach new power levels.

I also like to get rewards like stealable equipment and new skills
>>
>>12237852
Funny, I recorded a very similar gif once in the World of Balance. Cheers, anon.
>>
the difficulty spike in world of ruin t-edition is fucking bonkers. I cant even recruit my team yet because theyre all gated behind bosses that can wipe me with a single AOE :( guess Ill just have to grind away with the B-team losers...
>>
>>12237852
I just played through the opening scenes, and this game is such a comfy pleasure to play. A masterpiece for the SNES.
