>Trails: On
>>12238041That option made an already hideous game look like absolute shit.
>>12238041>>12238046both games are overhyped. with the console versions looking slightly better due to filtering effects and better optimisation, but lower res than PC edition.
The only good GTAs.
>More GTA spam
>>12238046It also includes almost all colored lighting and atmospheric effects, not just light trails. It's most obvious turning it on and off down that beachfront with all the different neon lights in VC.
>>12238046if you turned the trails off, you didn't play the game
>>12238095It's all some of these zoomies and thirdies know.
gta has always sucked
>>12238204GTA is millennial, not zoomer thoughbeit.
>>12238723but who talks about GTA the most?
>>12238928the underage. so by this point midstage gen alphas
>>12238107to this day i have no idea why they tied all that to the trails option. you can get sharptrails to make up for it at least.
>>12238979i think because all the effects are tied to heavy use of the PS2's framebuffer, and the option simply turns off the framebuffer being displayed for several frames after as a ghost image.
Whenever you turn off Trails in the PS2 versions, it suddenly turns the games into their PC ports with all the dull colors and even lighting and the cars that are too dark.
>>12239021Yeah people forget that trails stack on static 3d elements so they give the game more vibrancy.
>>12238107You're literally wrong but whatever
III is the best GTAVice City is a better III
>>12238067>the console versions>better optimisationSchizo.>>12239021Also III had Trails on PC by default, and Vice City looks even better with trails on PC if you play it in higher res. It's blending the picture together, compensating the oversharped look of the game in higher resolution. Same for SA.
>>12240047SA only had trails while driving at high speed or flying iirc
>>12240047You will never have real ps2 graphics. You don't have emotion engine, you don't have graphics synthesiser, you don't have the fillrate. You're a rushed pc port twisted with mods and plugins into a mockery of gaming perfection. All the validation you get is from third worlders and zoomers.ps2 never looked like your picrel the colors are all wrong
I loved the 3 PS2 GTA's so fucking much back in the day, but I dunno if I could play them today, the shooting in 3 and VC probably don't hold up very well.
>>12240169Cope more.
>>12240169looks better on my machine and runs at a stable 30 fps as well.
>>12240263>simple piss filterthird worlder detected
>>12240316lmfao, okay
uf vice city played like san andreas it would be the GOAT
I bought GTA 3 for PS2 a couple days ago and it came today. Turns out I got the 1.40 version, pretty cool huh. I turned the trails off right away btw.
I doubt I'd ever replay any of these games unless I picked up a burner PS2 so as to not destroy the disc drive in my good ones.
>>12240361Not using improvements is a sin.>but muuhhh want to play with piss filter is better and realistic.Nope it never was better or realistic and as most gta is over hyped obsolete shit at the moment of release with ugly gorillas as females or landwhales which no one cares only fags.>>12240543Either play pc version or play them emulated on pc either way is fine and there are lot of improvements.
>>12241394That screenshot is literally the PC version running with graphical effects fixes
>>12241394>Either play pc versionNo.>or play them emulated on pcAlso no.
>>12242390I'll never understand why people prefer the inferior PS2 versions of the GTA games, but you do you, I guess.>inb4 the pc ports are brokenThe PC ports have been fixed for over a decade with every visual effect restored and hundreds of bugfixes.
>>12240316soul>>12240361soulless
>>122403169 FPS>>1224036130 FPS
>>12241394I've never been impressed by PS2 emulation, but I imagine as the most popular series on the console, accuracy is better than the average PS2 game?
>>12242779it accurately emulates all of the framerate drops, yeah
>>12242698in some cases bugs that were in the PS2 version got fixed by PC modders too
