I actually liked Alien 3 for the Gameboy, it felt much closer to the movie in style and gameplay. Unlike the NES where there's 1000 aliens and you get endless guns.Oh Hudson I knew him well... well not really. This was the best prequel to Alien 1979 I have ever read and seen, /tv/. It was most excellent. The xenomorphs are here to protect us from the red cells, guy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmjF6YKe0fk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFjTxnb2l04https://heyzine.com/flip-book/6bd0377d5c.htmlhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1333SxUDcSkt4QJe3DOnFN7s82SBGrtBpD6jtXAPmfXQ/edit?tab=t.0If you were put in charge of making a retro Alien/Aliens/Weyland Yutani/Space Jockey game what would you make? Hardmode: don't say Contra and Metroid, at least not a basic bitch Gunstar Heroes Contra & Metroidvania that plays the same but with a giant inventory. If you put me in charge I'd make 2 in 1 games: Pokemon Team Rocket game where you're Weyland Yutani who has to capture and experiment on over 151 xenomorphs and the 2nd game you're the xenomorphs trying to build a hive and take control of the world. It feels good playing a RTS-RPG as the bad guys where nobody is good.
There was an Alien 3 for the gameboy?
>>12238207It's so nice to see this title get the recognition it deserves, I couldn't get into any other Alien 3 titles, though I might give them another shot in the future... but the exploring, tension and non linear nature, alongside things like a chilling bad ending if you run out of ammo, make the atmosphere and playabilty feel just right for the IP, I love this one a lot.
>>12238207>make a retro alien gameI'll make a gameboy game in the spirit of your threadA top down turn based game with 2 playable factions, aliens and marines. >The board is set up in a square tile pattern. marines >deploy in greater numbers>move slow (1 or 2 tiles) >can use field of fire and ranged attacks>Have light weapons units that can move and attack for small damage>have heavy weapons teams that must chose to move or shoot for area or heavy ranged damage Aliens>move fast (4-6) tiles>only attack in melee from adjacent tiles>start in smaller numbers>basic drone aliens farm an extra units by killing a marine to create an additional drone>have a bull alien that can stampede through multiple enemies but does not reproduce>have a dog alien that can stealth humans but does not reproduce>a queen alien capable of tanking and dealing massive damage, that either creates a bull, a dog or 2 drones when killing a marineHumans need to set up field of fire to suppress aliens in the early game, aliens have to work quickly around the field of fire to grow their numbers. You'd have to make the heavy units or queens OP in order to give some balance past the mid game, but there you go.
I'd reuse the Super Metroid rom and make you start off all powered up before everything gets taken away from you metrodvania style and then you're forced to use a few utility items to master the grappling mechanic and learn to seal doors behind you and navigate tunnels with a map that shows you the bleeping objectives but the map is as useful as it is in the first one because it's nothing but tiny tunnels you run into as the morphball or you crawl into.
There's a certain allure to a RPG game where it's all about your gear/preparation time rather than your combat skills.

>>12238897Space Hulk already exists and has good vidya adaptations
This Aliens Stickman RPG fever dream is my favourite one.https://desuarchive.org/vr/thread/11827475/
>>12241931People would hack the shit out of it so you can only play the good parts and skip the abysmal Alien-themed Tetris, Bejeweled, Minesweeper.
>>12241880You don't spawn off off kills in space hulk
>>12242446You must suffer the long hard wagecucking life before getting to the good times as is tradition !!! You can't just play on weekend mode 24/7 !! you must suffer the working days!!!!
there were so many properties that would have been better served by an overhead adventure style game but I guess it's much easier to just make a bouncy platformer.
>>12243695Adventures of Batman & Robin for the SNES did a good job compared to the Genesis version that's a very shitty shoot em up platformer due to the fact the weapon projectiles are the equivalent of the flamethrower from Contra 1.
