You anons ever beat pokemon stadium 1/2 with cartage support back in the day?
If not, what's stopping you from doing it now with roms?
>>
>>12246375
i actually have a crystal save with a level 50 party to do the gym tower in 2 with. it's a full water team so i'm going to have a rough time
>>
>>12246375
>If not
pokemon is a lot more than just doing 300 different battles one after another. I was never interested in stadium i was interesting in adventure.
>>
>>12246375
The only thing that ever stopped me from completing Stadium 2 is the Challenge Cup where you can only use randomly selected Pokemon. I 100%ed Stadium 1, even on the R-2 mode(which on that note Im unsure of what is different on R-2, it didn't seem any more difficult) but this is just too much. Having to go through 8 rounds in a row where anything can happen, and having to do it successfully 4 times over, is pretty bullshit. I swear the AI cheats and counter picks you too. I still have my save file and give it another try every now and then, but I don't think I'm ever gonna get through it all the way unless I get lucky.

Yeah, there's walking and shit.
>>12246394
I thought it was proven and established at Stadium 1 cheats.

You've been doing this for decades.
As long as it's about the retro games, thet are allowed on /vr/. Much to your dismay.
>>
>>12246375
I beat gym leader castle in both, I didn’t bother with the cups because I didn’t like them. I liked knocking out gym leaders with my Mewtwo with an incredibly horrible moveset (Strength, Swift, Shadow Ball, Iron Tail).
I was 6.

Psychic recover and swift is enough to clear everything

/vr/ hasn't existed for decades, tourist

No, that's just a bullshit rumor.
>>
>>12247050
i read that the ai has some knowledge about whether a move hits/effect procs before using it, but that sounds like the usual cope from shitters playing non deterministic games
>>
My patience. I was working on this a year or so ago, and got as far as beating the R2 castles and Poke Cup. Babby Cup wore me down since I didn't want to use obvious picks like Scyther, and I hadn't attempted the rando/lvl100 cups. I might go back and have another crack at it but I've just been busy with other stuff.
>>
>>12246375
I beat both with just the rentals. I had to abuse the infinite continue glitch in Stadium 2 for the last couple cups in R2, but it felt more satisfying to beat than using my maxed out Mewtwo the whole time.

CARTHAGO DELENDA EST
>>
>>12247065
You have to concede that the game as a rule, has knowledge of your move before it chooses its move. Most pokemon games we trust that it's not using that knowledge to base it's logic. Stadium is known to behave in a sus manner.
>>12247041
He means you've been acting like a whiney gatekeeping bitch for decades . And I believe it.

Go back.

Because I'd rather use my Gameboy Advance SP to replay them as they were intended.
>>
>>12248348
you can play pokemon stadium on the gameboy sp? Since when?

No.

Is it just one person?
>>
>>12248374
One of the most popular video game series ever has a few threads up.

>>12248384
So popular in fact that it has a containment board specifically because of this.

just defeated red in crystal. i wish i didn't spend that much time grinding. I was super disappointed with heracross, I dragged him around for half the game only to realize he can't access any good fighting moves after I already had all gym badges, ended up not using him at all. I bought hyper beam for quagsire but he twoshot pikachu with earthquake just fine. the mvp was definitely foretress, he killed both snorlax and espeon and barely got scratched, i wish i had used him earlier in the game. i loved jumpluff, i caught all legendaries thanks to him, but i will probably not use him in hg/ss due to sleep nerf.

The adults are speaking. Contribute or fuck off, loser.
>>
>>12248374
are you just auster or kevin smith or antigamecubepsycho pretending like multiple threads inherently equals spam to try and fly under the radar? no, what's spamming is specifically making those multiple threads with the same exact retarded mindset and samefagging within those threads.

>>12248945
Any mon in intending for my team gets a review of their moveset before I commit to leveling them. Some mons learn moves earlier if you delay evolution. Doing it blind is only ok on the first playthtough.

Great, go do it on >>>/vp/

not bad. i usually level a few to 70 before taking on red

Shitters say the same about battle facilities in gen 3 and 4 but people who actually play those in depth proved them wrong time and time again.
There's no such thing as cheating AI in Pokemon games.

I learned the hard way during my complete dex run of gen 2 that the best way to play gen 2 is to never use gen 2 Pokemon.

wow. did you have to use a lot of items?

it kinda was, i haven't played pokemon for 15 years and only learned about things like ev or friendship on the run.
