Back in the 90s, Sonic strode throughout Europe like a colossus, with petty plumbers walking under his mega-cool high-tops and peep out to find themselves in dishonourable graves.>Virgin BooksIn Robotnik's Laboratoryhttps://desuarchive.org/vr/thread/12215882>LadybirdAdventure Gamebook 1>>12225519Adventure Gamebook 2>>12232663Adventure Gamebook 3>>12237906>FantailMetal City Mayhem>>>/tg/97119887>>>/tg/97135231Zone Rangers>>>/tg/97164918
That's all for today - I'll be back on Wednesday with some more fun Sonic ephemera
>>12250146Why was Sega so obsessed at making a huge lore just for a generic "muh environment" game?
>>12250279Because this was their next big thing - Alex Kidd had come and gone with one good game, so they were rolling the dice
By the way, I thought I'd run this up the flagpole, see who salutes; I've discovered a bunch of tie-in novellas/novels for various /vr/ games, and I thought it might be fun to have a sort of book club, maybe start it in January. Basically, I'd start the thread, post a few chapters every day to give everyone time to read/discuss the story so far. I was thinking of having it be a weekly thing, maybe fortnightly if people prefer to space things out.Either way, I wanted to see what game people wanted to start off with, so I picked out a selectionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP7vWiaxw7YGiven how the latest game in the franchise has gotten everyone thirsty af, I thought it'd be fun to look back to where it all began with the novelisation of the first Baldur's Gate as well as the BG2 novels. The reading level is par for any D&D novel i.e. teenagers and above, and there's three of them.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xqf8jID9TsEYes, this had tie-in books. Again, there's three of them, but these were for a younger audience, aimed at kids who were getting confident reading, so they should be the easiest to get throughhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-i8HYi1QH0Yeah, I had to include this motherfucker. The reading level is somewhere between the two above options. There are four novellas, all about the length of a Goosbumps book.https://strawpoll.com/QrgewGRaKyp
Im pretty sure this is the same backstory they made for the UK sonic comic.
>>12250431>Run it up the flagpole and see who salutes.Wow, that's a phrasing I haven't heard in a hot minute.Honestly wouldn't be against it, though I haven't been reading as much in general as of late so no idea how well I'd stay on top of it
>>12250146This book will be an interesting read to start this 2sday.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTMKAq-abSE
