Now that the new captcha is filtering the zoomers, let's drop our biggest unc opinions on this thread. No shitty revisionism allowed
>Zelda 2 is good
>SCIV is good
>Classic Sonic was always good
>PSX (yes, ECKS) > N64
>Half-Life is still good
>Good games don't age
>6th gen was mediocre ("mid" for our readers who can't post)
What's yours?
>>
The Mega Drive is a fun and complete system
>>
tank controls are fine and you adapt in 5 minutes
>>
I think you're alright looking but not really my type
>>
I'm a zoomer and i agree with everything except 6G being mid

I don't think there's any modern game that couldn't be done on the PS3 without losing anything. Even the graphics are better now but not mindblowingly better, I haven't been impressed by graphics since Crysis (and the Dirt rally games around the same time). Until that changes, the PS2 generation should be the cutoff for this board. Speaking of generations, I never learned the generation numbers and just infer from context most of the time.

Kill yourself

SC1 is still the most fun fighter in existence.

What the fuck does unc mean? Type like a human you zoomer faggot
>>

>I never learned the generation numbers
theres only 3 generations that have any distinct meaning anyway. Before and after gen 4-6 it becomes murky and they just blob together, not really worthy of distinct generations.

It's how zoomers refer to anyone older than them. Derived from 'uncle'

The new captcha is the thinking man's Castlevania

Hi Egoraptor

Zoomer who didn't get filtered by the captcha here
>Tank controls are good, there isn't a single game I've played with them that would have felt better without them
>Grinding in early JRPGs really isn't as much of an issue as people make it out to be and is largely an excuse not to play them from people who didn't want to anyway
>Zelda II is not only a good game but a top five Zelda game and the worst part about it is that the sidescroller style didn't become a recurring type of Zelda game alongside the top-down and 3D styles
>The N64 library is trash with only a few genuinely great games, anyone who claims the N64 library is better than the PS library has holes in their brain (maybe this is a zoomer opinion, idk)
>It isn't nostalgia that makes people say modern vidya sucks compared to the sixth gen and before, it's genuinely worse
>Half-Life 1 > Half-Life 2
That's all I can think of right now. OP is a faggot for using zoomer language in a thread while trying to attack zoomers
>>
The seventh gen will never be "retro" because "retro" generations were all during a time when the majority of games were made by and for very different people. The seventh gen, especially the latter half, represents a move away from vidya as being a "nerd" thing to being something for much larger audiences, and publishers / execs pivoting to focus on those audiences for profit. It's arguable that the sixth gen got the ball rolling on this, but I'd say that most games still targeted specific, somewhat niche audiences and didn't dilute their identities to sell more.

Ps2 was super normie coded. Video games being a “nerd” thing died after the snes. PS1 and n64 (in the US) were when normies really caught on.
>>
a lot of movie tie-in games were perfectly enjoyable.
>>

here in the UK, PS1 was normie af.

they ran a marketing campaign to make sure you knew it was cool, and for teenagers/adults:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIW4HMl81hw

rather than just sell these as toys, they put them in rave club chillout rooms where twentysomethings on ecstasy would play them. Sony took out ads in underground/rave/alt magazines, as though playing computer games now made you part of an alternative lifestyle for the new millennium.

and yeah it basically worked. to this day i'll bet teenagers still call each other 'gay' if they play Nintendo instead of PlayStation.

>Ps2 was super normie coded
It wasn't. Normalfags bought it, for sure, but they played like 2 games on it and used it as a DVD player. The library looked like picrel and anyone who actually bought a PS2 used it for the games in picrel, which are definitely not games made for normalfags. In any case, the PS2 wasn't the only sixth-gen console.
>>

>the new captcha is filtering the zoomers
I refuse to believe anyone is getting filtered by it.
>>
>>12251878
The PS1 was normie in Eastern Europe, even girls were playing games.

It’s the best one
