It's a good pin, but the gorilla mini playfield is absolutely worthless.
Haunted House did it way better in 1982.

That's basically the only one that comes to mind. I can sorta think of the Flash Gordan and Johnny Mnemonic pins, but those are pretty good films.

are the shots kinetically satisfying?
are the rules fun?
does it provide exciting "moments"?
does it give you that "just one more game" feel?

Pinball fucking sucks.

Do I sense a /crichtoncore/ thread?

Actual /vr/ pinball question: which games have some sort of objective(s) other than score, like a campaign, or something more general like Game & Watch Gallery or that XBLA Game Room service? I already know about Alien/Devil's Crush, Kirby's Pinball Land (ANON GET OUT), and Sonic Spinball.

so they all suck then

yes

The one for Black Hole was way worse. I remember playing it via the Gottlieb collection for PS2 and it was impossible to get used to playing it backwards
>>
how often are pinball tables re-skinned?
I feel like its something you'd not notice unless you're really into the hobby or the table has an exclusive gimmick.

not often these days. back in the day was more common, El Dorado's exact layout was used for 3 different games.

a few in the more modern-ish era: Family Guy/Shrek, Spider Man Vault Edition (redid the Tobey MacGuire Spider Man game into Ultimate Spider Man Comic art theme), Woah Nellie/Pabst Can Crusher/Primus. Then there was Ultraman/Halloween which was actually a simultaneous release with 2 skins, followed by Looney Tunes/Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Now Stern is doing "remastered" games but these have slight tweaks to the playfield as well as new art/rules so not quite a true reskin, such as Metallica and Walking Dead.
