How many of you guys have actually beaten him legitimately?
why come megerman don't steal his attack?
I have, it's not that complicated. Try a real game sometimes, like Adventure Island.
>>12255180this. idk why his difficulty is so hyped up
>>12255174He's tsundere.
If the Yellow Devil is broken apart and then reassembled at a different location, is it really the same Yellow Devil? Or did he die and is now being controlled by a different consciousness?
>yellow devil>is fucking orange
>>12255168I first beat this game in the ps2 anniversary collection. I had heard the pause trick was fixed, which I don't know if it's true or not but made me not even try it.
>>12255225>yellow devil>doesn't have a pitchfork, hooves , horns and a tail condemning people to hell
His crotch piece is the tricky dodge.
>>12255180Or Mega Man and Bass at least. Yellow Devil is not even harder than Copy Robot in my opinion
>>12255203Does he have a conscience?
>>12255168I did, but it takes so much time to beat it that I prefer to use the glitch
>>12255168I did. It took me a lot of tries, including redoing the stage after getting game overs. I think it took me the most since I beat the game under 3 and a half hours.
>>12255203i always thought the piece with the red laser eye was their "brain"
>>12255225american problem
>>12255225Lookin good!
Man this guy was a hard boss… when I was 12
I did it buster only on a keyboard in MM1 and on a real PSP in Powered Up, both Modern and Classic. Does it count?
>>12255168You can beat him "illegitimately"?
>>12256064jesus fucking christ
>>12255360Simple as>am Burgerlandian
It's tough but it's always the same attack pattern so it's extremely doable. Pulling off the jumps to dodge his movements is really satisfying.
>>12255168I don't get how it's meant to be hard. As >>12256190 notes it's the same pattern every time. The rest of the game already trained you around jumping tightly.
>>12255168I've done it. The fight sucks both cheating and legit, but for different reasons.
>>12256064I'm not sure if you know, but in the original NES game the Start button brought up the item menu and Select was a simple Pause. Certain weapons like the Cut blade and Elec beam (which can hurt the Yellow Devil) can be paused and unpaused quickly and each frame movement will register as a new hit. It's similar to the cheat in Blaster Master where you could pause a grenade hitting a boss and the boss would still take explosion damage while paused.
The only tricky part of its pattern is when it does a floor shot followed by a one-tile-up shot, and that's easily solved by just doing one big jump over both instead of trying to slip between them.
>>12256739Huh, that'll make repeat playthroughs a bit easier, I hate this boss.
i'm probably the only zoomer that has done it legitimately
