The Underdark detour in Baldur's Gate 2 is a total edgelord experience and is one of the few parts of the game where the narrative can branch to an evil path with real consequences. Usually in this game, an Evil-aligned character is functionally the same as a Good-aligned hero, getting the same results and saving the day regardless of their nominal Evilness, but the Underdark bucks that trend. Bonus edge if you're also romancing Viconia.
