>>12258732>winter gamesYou're pushing buttons. That's it, you're playing Winter Games.
Sled Stormlooks greatvery difficult though
>>12258771>You're pushing buttons. That's itThat's how videogames usually work
>>12258771>You're pushing buttons. That's it, you're playing Winter Games.>/vr/ - Retro GamesWhat did he mean by this
Boarder Zone is number 1Looked so impressive back then as well
>>12259025go to bed ross
>>12259421Looks cozy what game
>>12260798Need for speed porsche 2000. PC version specifically as the psx version is wildly different.
>>12258732SSX Tricky, SSX 3 and SSX On Tour, kinographical winter games of the highest order
>>12260925I never played On Tour, I know people say that 3 is even better but Tricky has a special place in my heart. I love the music.
>>12260798>Looks cozy what gameI am literally shaking rnEverybody should try NFS Porsche Unleashed on PC
>>12259421>>12260823literally the first game i downloaded when i got a new laptop earlier this year, can't live without it
>>12261265I keep the first 5 NFS games installed at all times. Plus an ISO of the playstation versions to hand if needed.
>>12260941SSX and Tricky are great games to boot up and get right into it. Pure action, no downtime.3 is a fantastic game, and arguably better than the previous two in most aspects, but doing anything but a quick race means you're fucking around on the mountain and manually hauling your ass to the next event.
Cool Boarders 3 is my personal favorite. Played it a lot as a child and I still boot it up once or twice a year. Never really got into SSX, for some reason that game never really clicked for me.
90s attitude equals to snowboarding
>>12258771woah...thank god these are *video* games, so there's video and sound to create a pleasant feedback to playing these games.cutscenes are kinda based sometimes too fyi
>>12261317That's how my old setup was before the motherboard died, had almost an excessive number of old racing games. Still do, just haven't got around to buying an enclosure and checking if the HDDs survived.
sean palmer's pro snowboarding was fairly mid as a game but it had a cool multiplayer mode where the goal was to reduce your opponent's screen size by racking up big scoresi also have a soft spot for mtv snowboarding because it introduced 10 year old me to blink 182
>>12262276>multiplayer mode where the goal was to reduce your opponent's screen size by racking up big scoresThat sounds fucking cool.
>>12258771>You're pushing buttonsJoke's on you, faggot. I finally got my going-into-games machine integrated into my retro setup.
>>12262276All I remember from this game was playing the demo and hearing new disease by spineshank blasting. Was fun.
>>12262401it genuinely is, you'd have a vertical split and the player who has the higher score's screen would take up more space while the loser's screen diminishes, never seen anything like it in another game
>>12262645replying to myself to say i guess it's similar to puyopuyo/tetris vs or a 'beanmachinelike' as true retro heads say, but the screen changing aspect is unique

>Microsoft hasn't made any of the Amped games backwards compatible
>>12262276it exposes precisely why during the development of THPS1 they decided to abandon the downhill racing design in favour of open nonlinear levels you could explore. because if you miss a challenge goal, you have to finish the whole run of the slope and go all the way back up to the top and do the slope again.
>>12262416>>12262258>>12259106>>12259031Here is another clue, maybe then you'll get the joke
>>12258732
>>12263284
>>12258732Batman Returns for Master System or Game Gear are both superb and have a great atmosphere.
>>12263050the one level in THPS1 that was downhill was pretty fun thoughcan't remember very well but didn't shaun palmer's have some chairlifts and shit that would bring you back up the slope?need to give it a try again, i remember liking it more than matt hoffman's bmx and definitely more than the surfing and wakeboarding games they released
>>12264072you're entitled to your own sense of fun, most people did not agree with that notion.
