Looking for inspiration for a project, give me your most obscure puzzle games with the most unique mechanics.

picrel, some weird dice matching game for the ps1 and gameboy color i saw on youtube a while ago - last project was inspired by it, but it's really hard to make memorable mechanics and patterns with dice since they all kind of look the same

There's a Russian developed puzzle game called Tetris that I though was really fun. A randomized assortment of 4 tile pieces fall from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. When any tile of a piece hits a surface, all the tiles of the piece get locked in place. If a row is completely filled in, it gets cleared and all the rows above it are moved down. You lose when the tiles reach the top, so you have to fit the falling pieces together without leaving spaces to clear lines and create space for new pieces. You get more points for clearing multiple rows at once (to a maximum of 4 with the piece that has all its tiles laid out flat), so you have to build in a certain way to maximize score. The pieces start falling faster, so it gets difficult quickly.

Baku Baku (or Baku Baku Animal)
You have to match animals with their food, and make chain reactions and different strategies to add attack your rival with block dumps. It's similar to Puyo Puyo but with even more depth because it's not just color-based but animal-food matching based

Land Maker for Arcade and PS1

Original arcade version is a competitive puzzler where you create buildings by piling tiles of the same color together, then clear them up to send pressure to your opponent until their stuff gets thrown of the edge.

PS1 version adds a single player score chasing puzzle mode where in every level you have a limited amount of turns in order to fullfill a minimal building size threshold, then you're free to rack up as many points as you want before you run out of space.

DingDong? If so, your last game was mediocre. Please get a GM rank in TGM1 before making another puzzle game. Better yet, finish Bippy!
