>>12259742Greatest in what regard?Single player definitely not, its just standard arcade, versus, and training. The roster is very hit or miss in my opinion with some people like the white goo thingy and the tin man being completely forgettable. Also Alex isnt protagonist material on the level as a ryu. Soundtrack was peak. Final boss was an ass. Only regard I can see this being the best is maybe competitive, but I personally have fonder memories of like smash melee, sf4, hell even sf5, tekken 7. I dont see how 3rd strike is the greatest at all. Except for the soundtrack, thats definitely peak and a contender to this day.

As someone who's been playing for nearly 10 years (currently trying to quit), made it to a high level in the game, won an offline competition and spent thousands of hours of his life playing 3rd Strike on fightcade:Yeah, it's a great fighting game and very unique but.... I wouldn't do it all over again if I could go back in time. The time and effort it takes to get really good at it is immense; The (online) community is bad, full of grown men who act like toddlers because they've made this game a central point of their lives and their egos are dependent on winning ranked matches. It's not terrible like the communities of some other fighting games, there are worse, but it's not good and dealing with these people will burn you out eventually. Some of the coolest characters are absolute garbage and once you get to a decent level, if your main isn't at least mid-high tier, you're gonna lose regularly to Chun-Lis, Kens and Makotos who are significantly worse players than you.Go do something else with your time.

It just feels good to play third strike, the music the stages and the way the characters animate. This game is tight. I'll never get tired of it and even when I am an old man I'll probably still be up for a quick run through the arcade mode

First on fightcade then SF collection on my PS4, but the negativity of some players caused me to enjoy it less. Now I play the game with IRL friends, or arcade mode after work. It's more enjoyable for me this way. I always play Ryu and Necro
