I'm tired of all the circle jerking about difficult retro games. Recommend me some easy games to chill with
>>12260245Kirby anything is a classicPokemon puzzle challengePokemon puzzle leaguePokemon pinballBomberman is always great. Take your pick. Bomberman 64 is a personal comfy favorite.Yoshi's storyMario sports games are easy fun. Tennis, golf, strikers. All a good time. The gbc zelda gamesWarioland as a wholePokemon snap. The new one is cool too.Conker's bad fur day. Easy and funThe early harvest moon games are a slow paced blastSuper mario rpgPaper marioDrilldozerChrono triggerFinal fantasy mystic quest. Gets a lot of flack, but it's simple and fun.Goof troopPocky and rockySecret of manaAny of the starfoxesSuper mario world 2Bubble bobbleTiny Toon AdventuresDuckTalesChip'n'Dales
>>12260245Castlevania SOTN is the greatest easy game of all time
I'm not making your fucking youtube video for you. Fuck off.
>>12260245My favorite easy game of all time. Chill and listen to the chiptunes as you roll on down the road
>>12260418This is also a nice one, a collect'em'up where the various pickups alter the way your bike works. Don't crash before you get the helmet, it's an immediate game over, lol.
>>12260245Tyrian 2000
>>12260245Easy as fuck until you get to the last boss, who is a complete pain in the ass to deal with.
Every game released after 1993
first Metal Gear is the easiest game in the series. NES port is even worse, with broken alert states and free death warps.
>>12260245There is hardcore easy tooEasy shmup - Magical ChaseEasy beat em up - Sailor Moon (Mega Drive)Easy rhythm - Hatsune Miku 3DSIf you can handle the game insulting you by calling you a bitch with its aesthetics these games are easy af. trans adjacent but kino nonetheless
>>12260401Some rooms and enemies in the inverted castle will still mess you up with all the health upgrades. Like the inverted chapel or inverted clock tower (if you don't have immunity to petrification).
>>12260290The mickeymouse haunted carnival snes is pretty cool with the different megaman powers you get including vacuum, cowboy and I forgot the rest.
Vice Project Doom. The only NES game I can beat without needing a Game Genie. They give you infinite continues.
>>12260245this game is not even easy, one of the bosses filtered me >:(
>>12260290>gbc zeldaoracle of ages is the only zelda game besides one and two that is somewhat difficult
>>12260290I should have mentioned that there are a ton of fun and casual retro games. Casual doesn't have to be a bad thing. Life is hard enough without adding more stress from this hobby. This list is just what came to mind before I went to bed so look around, play some games, and expand your horizons.
>>12260245Harmful Park
A while back another /vr/ Anon recommended The Little Mermaid on NES and I'll pass that rec onto you. Short but sweet platformer from 80's Capcom.
Mansion of Hidden Souls for the Sega CD.Do not try the Sega Saturn remake because it is an absolute joke of a game
>>12261205My little sister loved this game and to this day I think it’s the only game she ever beat. And it has really good NES graphics and music
Also the SNES versions of Sim City and Sim City 2000
>>12260410Why not anon? I’m making over $100k a year
>>12260290Do you really consider Pokemon Puzzle League easy? I consider it one of the hardest N64 games. Beating Mewtwo on S-Hard took me several hours. And it wasn't even a 1CC so it doesn't really count. That's not even to mention that Level 10 CPUs are a thing.
>>12260290>Conker's bad fur day. Easy and funThis specific setpiece is a fucking ballbuster. I was stuck on it for weeks.
>>12260290Bomberman 64 is hard as fuck if you want to get 100%
MDK
>>12260245Noobow. No, really.
>>12260245Mischief Makers is easy overall but still very fun. One of the most chill games ever made honestly
>>12260245The Lost World: Jurassic Park on SEGA Game Gear is a pretty simple title you can finish on your 1st sitting in a few minutes, but those minutes look, sound and play great.
>>12260245Super Mario RPG is baby's first JRPG, but it's very fun so I tend to recommend it to people who have never played JRPGs beforeRayman 2 is one of the easiest and generous 3D platformers - some non-platforming parts of the levels might be tricky (see Top of the World, Whale Bay, Sanctuary of Stone and Fire, etc.) and final boss in non-PS1 version is a mood killer (so just look up infinte ammo trick) but otherwise it's one of 3D platformers that even little kids can beat. You can play PS1 version if you're okay with vastly inferior graphics but a bunch of gimmick non-platforming content being removed.Rayman 3 probably works as well, but I can see a lot of people being filtered by final boss here as well.Legend of Mana is probably the easiest game made by Kawazu - it still has a bunch of autstically hidden mechanics, but the combat is very simple and you can kill final boss with common weapons dropped by enemies in Tower of Leires. Don't bother with NG+ though without reading up guides.Tomba 1 has a few tricky spots but otherwise it's a pretty simple 2D platformer with a bunch of quests
The Legendary Starfy, simple metroidvania with minigames and boss fights. Love this little nigga even more than Kirby. The GBA game has a translation patch while the DS game is in EN. The rest is in JP but the game is so basic you don't really need to read anything. >every character in the game is some sort of a sea animal in a very kids-friendly game>the save point character is a clearly humanoid mermaid with fat titswhat did they mean by that
>>12261338Really? I never had any trouble with this part. The swimming section with the blades and the beachhead escape are the parts that always make me question why I'm still playing.
growl/ runark on sega genesis / megadrive
>>12261395To be honest, you didn't really beat the game unless you attempted to 100% it since the true final boss requires all those gold cards.
>>12265335Not 100% because to get true 100% you have to speedrun get all of the gold cards to unlock some extra stuff
