Beyond what's in the wiki and faqs, what strategies have you developed? I want to stop dabbling and beat the game.
>>12262558aren't there better golf games?
>>12262567There's one that's equally good in a different way, but it doesn't scratch quite the same itch.
>>12262567Yes.
>>12262602>mario is like the 7th character you unlock
Theory:When putting with the golfers who have poor putting skills, the game still counts how close to the mark you get even if it doesn't show it visually.
Just be decent at math idk? You just look at the numbers at the top and use the proper club and then just time your shot to the corresponding power. I can at the very least 1cc the game by getting all birdies. Don't have any tips for going beyond that though.
>>12262687>You just look at the numbers at the top and use the proper club and then just time your shot to the corresponding power. That will not work because the game has hidden percentage variables depending on the golfer you're using.
>>12262814Works out just fine for me idk man
>>12262567virtual hydlide is the best golf game.
>>12262687That wouldn't account for putting at all.
>>12262828You don't need to account for putting the game does that for you by showing you exactly where to stop on the power meter. And if you're going up or down an incline you just stop 1 bar before or after where it says to to account for the slope.
>>12262970The ball will curve on slopes, and there is grain.
I got Hot Shots Golf Fore on my PS2's hard drive. How does it compare to something like Mario Golf?
>>12262567Yes, this game is massively overhyped.
>>12262979Then compensate for the slopes? What kind of BS complaint is that? The game is 2D so it's pretty flat. If you're going to putt into a slope at an angle experiment until you get good. Mario Golf on N64 has more complex putting since the greens are all heightmapped.
>>12264579So there *is* more to it than just raw math. I accept your concession of being wrong.
