If anyone is curious about the Japanese obsession with the Bass fishing. Sometime in the 70s -80s the Japanese imported stocks of American Largemouth Bass and put them into several freshwater lakes. Of course, these predatory fish dominated but they are some of the best freshwater sport fishing on earth. So the Japanese made their own bass fishing industry and the video games to go with them.
