ITT: We discuss the most intellectual & unrelentingly insane JRPG set in space (Planet Laika). The dog heads are not furry, they are intellectual and subversive. This is the Solaris of RPGs.
Oops wrong board
>>12268550I never hear anyone talk about this game even after the fan translation came out but this is literally one of my favorite ps1 games. The ending is completely bonkers on an already bonkers game. Pure schizokino
>>12268550>plalet ldikd
>>12269170Yeah, this game is a ride. Knowing it was a Quintet game always intrigued me about it but it's far more its designer/art director's work, those having worked on Kowloon's Gate. There's far more weird adventure game in it than any rpg elements, and seeing your squadmates lose their fucking minds in ever more creative ways makes this feel like a whole game of that chunk of FF7 where Tifa puts Cloud's mind back together. Also yeah the dog people are dog people for a reason in the game's lore, but quite why humanity lost its 'humanity' is the interesting part.
Always loved those weird experimental PS1 gamesIs Planet Laïka similar to Moon? I really enjoyed this game
>>12268550I don't know man. if you only know this game from the fan translation then you're not all that familiar with it. I'm barely at what can be considered a N3 and I don't fully agree with how it's presented there
>>12269519le dicked
>>12268550>The dog heads are not furry>muh safe furry Fuck off
Kill yourself.
>>12270294Stop shilling your channel here faggot
>>12269918>Is Planet Laïka similar to Moon? Not really, but if you like the esoteric atmosphere and adventure elements of Moon, you'll probably like Laika. As other posters have pointed out, it was marketed/is known as an RPG, but it's not really much of an RPG and more of an adventure game.>>12269936Can you be more specific? What are some examples of things that were mistranslated?
