>Only vs fighting games
>not a single beat em up, puzzler, shoot em up or action platformer
What a waste massive disappointment in comparison to CPS 1 &2
>>
You can play the IGS Poly Game Master 2 and 3 to get a taste of what it could have been like.

not long after cps2 was released they were already beginning to engineer the cps3. they must have had some grand plans for it before they could no longer compete against systems with far greater capabilities. it's a shame devkits don't leak out for these systems with fuck all games. hardware in cps3 has not been fully explored

It was the only genre giving them any money

Imagine an alternate timeline, where shut-in console fags didn’t kill the arcade scene, and CPS-3 had beat em’ ups featuring all those insanely great CPS-3 sprites ????

As well as both Vampire Savior & the Alpha series getting CPS-3 sequels ? And they have Beat Em Ups with their sprites as well !

90s arcade games in general sucked ass, you realize the japanese gaming industry was done way earlier than you previously thought when you start getting into arcade
>>
Is CPS3 really the ultimate 2D machine?

I don't see that much difference between CPS2 and CPS3
>>
>>12271231
Arcade companies killed arcades themselves by making ports

>CP system
my brother is serving 20 years for having one of these

SEGA made a few hardware powerhouses that could basically be CPSIV and CPSV
>>
>>12271431
but the real question is if they could save the Saturn?
>>
>>12271435
it would have saved the SEGA Pico for sure
