Happened to me recently.

It's not an impossible filter, but it is an "I could probably succeed if I try like 15 times for the next 30 minutes, but I'm not a little kid anymore and I have hundreds of superior games I can play"- kind of filter

If you don't like platformers anymore that's fine, but DKC2 is the best there is.

I replayed this game a while back with my buddy's wife, had to pass the controller back and forth on this one for a while. I wasn't sober though.

I beat DKC 3 times in the past 10 years without save states and scumming and I'm bad at video games.
>>
is this thread serious? i don't think i've ever died there just jump before you hit stuff lol
>>
It astounds me that people think the Donkey Kong Country games are hard.

DKC is the dark soulds of 2D platformers

>if DKC was released today
>Beat Mine Cart Carnage
>38% of players have this achievement

I remember my first real filter was Barrel Canon Canyon, then Millstone Mayhem I remember giving me trouble at first.
Snow Barrel Blast was the real filter of the game though

Rewind and savestates don't help players. On the contrary, they PREVENT them from getting good.

It dawned on me that he's trying to get to the bonus barrel and thinks you can jump to it directly and refuses to consider that you doubleback after the mine cart is over. Since he's save stating he keeps trying something that doesn't work.

I never found any of the minecart levels in any of the games particularly challenging. Wtf is wrong with you guys?
DKC1 actually has very few hard levels. The only ones that come close are the blast barrel endurance levels, and they all have major skips.

Usually this sort of title is bait, however in this case it may be literally true.
>>

I beat the game, it wasn't even that hard.
t: that guy
>>
If you didn't get past it, then you didn't deserve to play the rest of the game. There's a harder level on the last area.
>>

I remember doing a race with my friends. I beat it pretty quickly and moved on but they could never get past it even as I approached the snow world then they quit.
>>

It's a software filter. Playing this with any bit of lag is torture. I played this level on a mini with someone and we couldn't get past it. I pulled it up on my SNES later in disbelief and I cleared it on my first try.
