The more you play atari games the more it grows on you.>the most schizophrenic games out of any console>why is this chef dropping pieces of the cake from 20ft above instead of just baking it? is he a prison chef?>why are you a woman walking around town running from the cops fucking men in their homes?>activision when they were good>games just named after one noun like nuts, millipede, pengo. What the fuck could those mean or even be? its just like gambling.>best styled cover arts out of any console. Can we have a normal atari thread for once?
I really liked Stampede.>>12271192>why are you a woman walking around town running from the cops fucking men in their homes? What game? Also Piece O' Cake looks dope, I might play it.
>>12271248Gigolo, it is the closest thing to a GTA youre gonna get on the atari.
Where else could you get a great game glued to a shit game?
>>12271274Which is which?
>>12271285Spike's Peak sucks. I used to play Ghost Manor endlessly as a kid
>>12271262>>12271318Gigolo and Ghost Manor look super cool. I just recently got into playing more Atari2600, and there's just so many games I don't know about. My grandma had the green 32in1 cartridge when I was a kid, ans that's about all the games I know aside from some Atari retro collections here and there with the most well-known stuff like Centipede or Asteroids.
I got an Intellivision as a kid after the NES had already won. I knew it was "going backwards" and yet I found myself pleasantly surprised to be enjoying it, even as a child. I just thought it was neat and I have fun memories of playing it on my sunporch with the sun dappling the screen playing those tank and sub games sitting on my favorite army surplus camo blanket. The 2600 was cool too. I still enjoy the flashing color and rainbow scanline palette shift aesthetic.
For me, it's the Sears Video Game System.Look at that cartridge art. Back then they excited our imaginations and were just as important as the games themselves.
I apparently have an Atari collection on Steam, from a bundle purchase probably. Is it better to just emulate?
