I need some help from you fine folks. I recently downloaded some games to emulate on my phone and some of them did not work. I quickly realized that I had two different sizes for the same game in CHD format. So certain files work just fine but others are not recognized by nethersx2, however both files unzip to the same file since I verified the hash for both.So what the hell is this? There is more than one way to compress to CHD? And Nethersx2 only works with one of these? How can I tell which is which? Here is proof. I just chose the smallest ps2 game I could find for this example:https://limewire.com/d/LhMHt#6wwULpQaqj
>>12274453>chdUse iso.
>>12274474Yes that works 100% but chds are smaller and it will save space, especially since this is on my phone and I want to conserve as much space as possible.
>>12274453.CHD is the format for chuddies
>>12274483Come on surely somebody must know something about this. I'm still trying to find stuff online and it seems like there are multiple versions of chd. I just read someone talking about chd v5 so I'm going to try to search this.
>>12274482>Yes that works 100%Good.>butNot my problem.
>>12274487This board is all about trolling and gatekeeping. Fuck you
>>12274453>limewirewhat's this, 2005?get your games from myrient or cdromance.>>12274482Stick with isos, chd will just make shit a headache to work with even if they're smaller in size.
>>12274553I did get the CHDs from myrient that's the whole problem. I got all the ps1 games I could ever want from myrient in chd format and they all work great but the ps2 chds are different somehow.
>>12274585afaik ps1 chds are a bit more common and duckstation or whatever it is called now has compatibility with it.Like I said, just stick with PS2 isos or bin/cue, if you really want ps2 chd then try to convert them with a tool but I'd rather not, or maybe try the ps2 core on retroarch and try loading whatever chd you downloaded, afaik ps2 cores there are good now.
>>12274594Sir the ps2 chds work perfectly fine on my android. The problem is that apparently there are two different kinds of chds. I didn't know that and I thought maybe some of you would know why this is or where I can obtain more information.
>>12274602when in doubt get the iso yourself and convert it to CHD.
>>12274837I'm doing it right now it's just a pain because some of the games have patches and I can't seem to be able to convert a chd back into an iso for some reason. I was able to do it one time and it doesn't work again for some reason.
