For anyone wondering, afaik there is no scans of № 2-3 available on the internet; Internet Archive had the entire series but Future Publishing partyv& the dl links, so I'm going to have to do things piecemeal.
That's me done for today - I'm probably only going to post these on weekdays
>>12288229Convert to PDF and dump everything at Internet Archive bro.
>>12288473They're all up there already.
>>12288473>Internet Archivethese magazinse are forbidden in archive, also archive web is not like 10 years ago, they started deleting stuff or puttin in hide mode. They only have like 20 issue of 104.Also retromags has a few of them, also there is some fan unofficial facebook webpage that has early issues scans but in low quiality in their facebook photos.if anybody has the whole 104 issues + special issues scans please upload them to gofile, pixeldrain or vikinfile then pass them to base64 and put the links here, I would like to get all the issues of this magazine.
>>12288229>>12289427Here you go: https://gofile.io/d/pFKnmPQuite a lot including some that have never been on Internet Archive, but with the following issues missing: 3, 5, 8, 82, 86-96, 97, 99-107. If anyone has these, please do your bit for preservation!
>>12289536thank you!are there any other links to archives of these? I had a huge pike of the nintendo ones from uk back in the early 2000s, I wish I had kept them
>>12288335>>12288331>>12288336I really need to come back to Tunnel B1 to beat it but there were some really shitty levels later on in the game. The whole industrial neon lights look is typical of the PSX and this era. Like Wipeout, Forsaken, or even games like Loaded, Spider and even later games like Apocalypse or C-12
>>12289549No problem mate. I'm afraid I don't have any Nintendo ones. Got stuff like Mean Machines Sega, Play, Total PlayStation, Games™ etc but they're all stuff that's already on Internet Archive/online, so nothing new.I'm mostly interested in OPM UK and had some that weren't online so I scanned them with the intention of uploading to Internet Archive, but they seem a bit pissy with what goes on these days and I never got round to it.
>>12288242based 90s adverts
these threads are nice, and thanks for uploading them all surprised to see how low a lot of the review scores are, considering it's the official PS mag. do they ever give anything a 9 or a 10?
>>12289845Maybe beatmania and the other gaems which came with Xtra like the ridge racer 4 demo wasn't the full gaam so 9 time crysis pointplank
>>12289575Most of the issues of OPM have been reuploaded to the Internet Archive after the earlier takedown, it's just a few issues that are still missing.
>>12289845Issue 1 gave a 9 to Ridge Racer, and issue 2 gave a 9 to Doom, Tekken and Mortal Kombat 3
>>12289925yeah it's odd. they gave Pandemonium a 9, and said it would've got a 10 if it was 'true 3D' like Tomb Raider, which they gave the entire trilogy a 10they gave B-Movie an 8, of all gamesseems they have a pretty heavy bias to games being 3D. I skimmed over a review of Mega Man Legends and even though it's 3D like they said, they shat on the visuals, so I guess they want 'realistic' 3D too, which is a bit of a tall order on the PS1
>>12289845>surprised to see how low a lot of the review scores are, considering it's the official PS mag. This subject came up frequently in the letters pages, especially in the earlier issues. It was official in the sense that it was licenced to call itself such and had direct access to Sony and its all-important demo discs, but Future had (and has) enough publishing clout to maintain its journalistic independence. An impartial, high-quality magazine was worth the trade-off of greater control for Sony, not least because such a publication attracted more of their target audience of teens and young adults rather than just kids. It befitted the brand of a more grown-up, sophisticated system. The tone of the magazine shifted in later issues, after the PS2 had been released, to a younger audience.
>>12289536thanks anon, theres is also the terror survival horror special issue is from 1999-2000, it was on libgen or in some minor british or french webpage dedicated to vidya magazine scans

>>12289427ive still got a bunch of these mags through 98-99, and maybe up to 2000, the first one i got was demo 11 with the GTA demo in late 97, ive got a bunch from then on, from your pic i know i have the tomb raider one and the metal gear solid one next to it as well as the racing special.i have a bunch of other mags but mainly official PSM and Powerstation mag which was just walkthrus and cheats, would be nice to find scans of these, they would have walkthrus spanning multiple issues, sometimes they would release a compilation of them for certain games in a single issue, i know i have one that covers all the tomb raider games and tekken.
>>12290561>but Future had (and has) enough publishing clout to maintain its journalistic independence.I'm pretty sure this is the same magazine that had a Spyro preview that was basically like>We're embarassed to say this about a kiddy but akttshuaaally this will do it for hardcore gamers and adults too!!Because they usually shat on kids games but this one was published by Sony so "it had to be good".
Today, I will remind them how things were in the 5th gen
>>12289845>do they ever give anything a 9 or a 10?Resident evils, silent hill, tomb raiders, tekkens, all of them got 9 or 10, same goes for mgs and gran tursimo and wipeout
>>12288392I'am still waiting 25 years later, that my cousin returns me my piracy copy of this game.
