This game is really fucking fun, and it's dripping with atmosphere. Shame it never caught on. It's far more fun to play than shit like "Psychonauts".
underrated == undersold
that's australian, not scottish

>>12300949>shame it never caught onCaught on enough for it to have 3 sequels.
>>12300949it got two sequels. 2 is a kinda-weak GTA clone, 3 is Spyro 3-tier feature bloat.
>>12300949Aren't all platformers scotformers by definition? I can't imagine platformer that doesn't put the character you play as front and center.
>>12300949Yeah it's an underrated platformer. When I played it for the first time I expected a generic platformer. It's really comfy and charming. Never played the sequels.
>>12302150There was also a Ty 4 for PC that was 2D, for some reason.
>>12300949I remember playing 2 and it was very soulful
>>12305570because Krome studios was dead and they couldn't afford to make a 3D game
>>12300978Double ups for the crash like
>>12300957Yeah the first wave of buyers were people who bought games randomly or read reviews, followed by the recommendations given from the first wave of buyers alongside more reviews
>>12300949Disney/SEGA's Illusion titles... no the 16-Bit ones though, they are properly beloved and rated, but the 8-Bit ones? Definitely deserve more recognition and love. Castle of Illusion plays different from the OG title, but is just as good, if not better to play, Land of Illusion is a MickeyVania and it plays even better, with superb level design and mechanics, then Legend of Illusion is the least popular, but also a fun title to play, then there's the Donald titles, Lucky Dime Caper and Deep Duck Trouble, which are both fantastic aswell, not as good as QuackShot of course, but still competent platformers to play aswell.
Awesome Possum is britjank but you can eat around it
>>12300978This was the only game my friend had for his Dreamcast.
Was also made by former Ubisoft devs who worked on Rayman.
>>12310998Which Rayman though?
>>12311014The first two games, i think. It's from a studio called Tiwak formed by ex-Ubisoft Montpellier employees, that Ubisoft bought back later on.
>>12308926can't have been very good reviews if they're still "underrated"
