Why does /vr/ think retro gaming peaked with shmups, and shmups peaked with Thunder Dragon 2?

>>12302234Gaiares is really, really good. One of the hardest shmups I have ever played but if you can get past that it is top tier. Also if you play that game you really need to check your set up for lag because it really was designed to run on a CRT. Bullet and enemies move fast, enemies and bosses are either large sprites or move close to you reducing reaction time even more.
