What are some obscure retro games you have fond memories of? This was a Wildtangent game that came included on a store bought PC in the early 2000's
As a kid I would play this for hours and thought it was hilarious how you could run over pedestrians and wild animals. As an adult I realized it's actually pretty technically impressive. Not sure if it's really considered obscure but I never hear about it listed along other snes racers like F Zero and Top Gear
>>12307558I'm a zoomer and I plyaed the shit out of this cause it was free on wildtangent
>>12307670Fate was another one, but everyone knows that one.
>>12307558Wildtangent is god tier. Every game was incredible back in the mid 2000s.
speaking of wildtangent
>>12307558Wendy: Every Witch Way is an odd title for the GBC, based on a cancelled TV show starring a side character from Casper, oddly enough its a pretty fun puzzle platformer and I can't recommend it enough, one of my favorite GBC titles to actually sit down and play from time to time, the password system makes it wonderful for quick bursts and you'll eventually beat it...
>>12309013I liked this game
>>12307558HOLEY MOLLY I played that from the Wild Tangent launcher thing with the Polar Bowler tokens. Remember that shit? It's like lemmings but penguins. Another game I played on that thing was Fate a diablo clone, and Tradewinds a pirate game.
I bet none of you guys ever played this kino.
>>12310962Polar Golfer is the comfiest game ever created. I'm tempted to buy it since there's no torrents for it anywhere. But I'm afraid that it won't even run on Windows 10.
>>12307601I'm pretty sure one of the follin brothers scored this game which makes it odd that it's kind of obscure
>>12311236I found 3 uploads of a double pack with it and Polar Bowler in half a minute. I also found a 4-pack that adds Poar Tubing and Penguins!
>>12311250What site did you find it on?
I suddenly have the urge to reply Betty Bad. It's basically like playing a slower, more Metroid-themed Tempest
>>12312297Replay, even
>>12312269It's on the 1st page of any modern search engine (even bing) if you plonk download after the game title. Gets even easier if you add double pack. Not exactly a sekrit klub, but it's better for you if you find it yourself.
I do a full replay of Hudson's Castle Quest on a yearly basis. It's like Chess meets War (the card game) meets a strategy RPG. It has very silly, funny characters and is insanely deep, but completely non-complex. Highly recommended if you're looking for a bite-sized strategy game to sink your teeth into. The Gameboy game is an officially-translated port of a Famicom game, but it's actually my preferred version as it moves a lot faster and contains an absolute ton of additional maps. Don't confuse it with the ASCII game of the same title.
>>12312329I got it the double pack from archive.org (tried the same a year ago) but it requires Wildtangents client. Straight up refuses to install if not detected.
>>12312502It should install the web driver along with whatever game you are installing. From what I can gather older copies won't install on a 64-bit OS. It installed fine on my emulated Windows 98, but I don't have proper 3D acceleration on that which means it will bitch and kill itself over that instead. So if you really have to get the game for free and play it now, emulating a 32-bit OS with 3D acceleration support should allow you to use that .iso.The game itself should run on Windows 10 though. Found a trial installer with the old launcher where it sort of works, but at that point you might as well get it from the modern launcher. The old one doesn't uninstall properly.
