I also own a 40XXV and a RP5 and I personally found that vertislop is more comfortable with pre-PS1 games and horizontal controls are better with PS1 and later games. Even with the RP5’s bigger screen, the OLED colors, the grip, the D-pad top, the increased power, etc…Is it strange that I STILL prefer the 406H? You don’t notice without comparing it to other devices, but it’s possibly the most ergonomic handheld I’ve ever used. The grips feel like they wrap around your fingertips, the triggers are less slippery than the RP5’s, and despite the D-pad being on the bottom, it still feels good for GBC and SNES because unlike the RP5, your thumb isn’t rubbing against the analog when you use the D-pad. Even without all the RP5’s little bonuses, I just like using the 406H more because it’s more comfortable.
Probably a dumb question but what are these scanlines? Why don't they show up on the older model? Is it something that's only picked up on video or is this screen somehow worse?
