Are Japanese hands less susceptible to punishment or something? Why do so many of their games, especially minigames, feature rapid button-mashing or stick-twirling?

Americans are much more sue happy and exaggerated how damaging the mini games are to try and extract money from Nintendo. People heard about these lawsuits on the news and took it as gospel despite the fact that millions of children played it and were perfectly fine.
