>want more>nobody ever made any more
>>12343390>community maps>the dark modThere is more if you want it. I haven't delved very far into the community maps myself, but I did play Shadows of the Metal Age and I'd recommend that as a narrative campaign with missions that meet and sometimes exceed the standard set by Thief 2. The cutscenes and voice acting are below that standard, but it's nice to have them anyway.
At least you have endless fan missions and god knows how many indie games modeled after it. Every time someone makes a stealth game it's a fucking thief-like.Fuck that, webm related is the real>want more>nobody ever made any moreseries completely dead and raped, not a single spiritual successor worth playing, nothing, and you know that if ubishit made another one, it would be complete and utter wank.
>>12343454I don't know how the series progressed over time, but when I played the first Splinter Cell on muh Xbawks I thought the game's greatest weakness was its lack of personality. Sam Fisher was the most generic US spec-ops protagonist you could get. He was aggressively average, uncompromising in his lack of individuality. His defining character trait was that he had no traits. Metal Gear Solid had the iconic Solid Snake and a supporting cast of colourful characters. Thief had Garrett and a distinct gothic-medieval setting, with a side dish of fantasy lore. Splinter Cell had Bland Sam and the same flag-waving Murrica bullshit that was in umpteen other media works.
>>12343532Sam and the series gained personality until peaking in Chaos Theory, game full of soul. Sadly it was all downhill from there on.You sound like an old shitposter but anyway I'm gonna reply in earnest this time.
>>12343454What game is this?
>>12343676Metal Gear Solid: Syphon Filters of the Metal AgeIn all seriousness, it's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
>>12343532>I don't know how the series progressed over time, but when I played the first Splinter Cell on muh Xbawks I thought the game's greatest weakness was its lack of personality.Nice LARP. If you'd actually played the game, you'd know that Sam had a unique, darkly humorous, and dryly satirical personality, with much wittier writing and better voice acting than the melodramatic dogshit drivel that is Metal Gear Solid.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6Kyw8TgUuE>flag-waving Murrica bullshit that was in umpteen other media works.Oh look, it's the anti-NATO turd worldie faggot that spams every Tom Clancy thread, howdy.

>>12343532>Splinter Cell had Bland Sam and the same flag-waving Murrica bullshit that was in umpteen other media works.one of sam's defining traits is how sardonic he is, specifically about his status as a faceless goon of the us government. it's not the most original thing in the world but it's not vanilla either.
>>12343550Double agent was pretty mediocre compared to chaos theory
>>12345194splinter cell died with lambert and ubisoft should've pulled the plug
>>12345195god damn right
>>12343390Probably the least relevant game you could have picked for such a post, except for Doom.
>>12343390Blame John Romero.
>>12343532>foreigner is angrylmaoimagine thinking "i'm thirdie trash angry that america made a video game" is an opinion that matters
>>12343532sam will have more personality than your entire angsty shithole soul ever will. and the sad thing is, you will never understand why.
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory 2-player coop was the greatest thing in historyIf anyone only played solo, you guys have no idea what you missed, it was incredible
>>12347671the whole package was insane. singleplayer, co-op, and multiplayer, all of which was the peak of their forms at the time
>>12347671>you guys have no idea what you missed, it was incredible
>>12347671Makes Ubi's modern decline even more detestable. At this point, I just want the company to disappear and see their IPs get picked by some serious devs.
>>12347518What a fat bastard
>>12350269No breaks you
>want more>nobody ever made any more>picrel is a game with a shitton of community support>but i don't care because i want big suits to spoonfeed me Approved content
>>12350772You misspelled bless
>>12350831>want more>never think to make more>inspire more>become moresuch is life of typical anon
>>12343390If you want FM recommendations, just ask or look at ttlg threads. Highly rated missions on Thief Guild are also mostly worth playing.
>>12353235No, you're just bad at reading simlish
>>12353485>only 15h in thi3fFakest taffer I've ever seen...
>>12356271TDS kinda sucks, anon. It's not ThiAf, but it's not good either
>>12353485Like this anon said.I love how consistent the quality of most fms is. Nearly anything rated 8+ on Thief Guild would be a critically acclaimed indie if released as a standalone on Steam.
>>12353485>Thief recommendations That video from Marble Man (a Thief modder) is also pretty good if you want to dip your toeshttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BIkJeaFdaZg
>>12353485Started Black Parade, though I fucked up and got caught by muggers but since I can't kill I just kept trying to run off until I got shot to death with arrows
>>12343390Play hitman instead, much better stealth game.
>>12356656
>>12356330I liked it better than gold desu...
>>12356730he's right also wrong use
>>12356271It's not awful but I hate the movement, it's extremely fluid in Thief 1/2 even with some mantling issues still present with New Dark. And even with the Sneaky Upgrade everything still feels tiny.>>12356408Yeah that video is great, using Thief Guild is also a good option, I'd recommend reading the reviews. >>12356640How many FMs have you played before? I like the difficulty but I played TBP after over a 100 FMs so the difficulty curve wasn't too high.
>>12356730fix that neck
>>12356938Yeah right
