>*mogs um jammer*
huh?
The game is not as cool as the cover leads you to believe
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3EKSwUJh1sthis song was fun in stepmania
why is this board unable to discuss anything unless its me thing >u're thing
>>12354496it's still quite cool.
What an absolute fucking mess compared to the Japanese cover. And they seem to have unfortunately gone the US route for the PSP cover even in Japan.
>>12354496Yeah, it's cooler
>>12354481this poster is implying that the game Gitaroo Man on the PS2, released in North America in 2001, is a significantly better game than Um Jammer Lammy, a similar rhythm based game featuring a musical instrument called a guitar, which is a PSX title released in 1999.
Best original soundtrack and storytelling on the PS2.Fucking miserable to play. Also it goes on for one song too long.
>>12354101I really loved it. It's one of my favorites. I love this type of story-oriented Rhythm game. No Straight Roads is a more recent example. But, they're all great.
>>12354763I also think this stage:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU4CFlwohu0Kind of influenced me. I love music, and the idea of playing music in harmony with my girlfriend has long been a really powerful emotional reaction for me.
>>12354772I'm gonna do some more useless analysis:https://youtu.be/WU4CFlwohu0?si=bd22ioP6zgYS3suRA few seconds after this part, it zooms in on Kirah, and for less than a second her eyes widen, before they harden once again. Her trying to fight off her emotions for the MC.It's really a subtle, beautifully done moment. And of course, later when she joins with you in a duet. Just a wonderful small episode. Something that old story rhythm games, by foregrounding the music itself, can showcase something different and interesting.Music is such an absurd thing.
>>12354758I agree with the gameplay but not really anything else
>>12354758Not even close. For example Parappa the Rapper 2 mogs this game.
>>12354626>FAIL
>>12354626American cover is better. This one is low effort and forgettable
>>12355140Sure nerd
