Sometimes I feel a bit sorry for people who only play old console games.Sure, it can be fun to bing bing wahoo for a while, but sometimes I want something deeper, and I honestly can’t imagine not being interested in classic PC games like Alpha Centauri, Terra Nova, Albion, Warlords 3, and so on.
I don't mind simple games, especially when you're the one making them.
I grew up as a console+pc idort.I always preferred consoles due to Japanese developing better action games than westerners, never cared for clicky clickey wahoo
>>12355326>clicky clicky wahooI really hope you didn't believe this would catch on...
>>12355302im a brainlet who can't into kb+m . i'll stick to my jarpigs and shitty console action games
>>12355348>kb+mAre zoomers this retarded that they can't do basic desktop computer shit?Even my sub-three digit IQ employees can do Excel sheets
>>12355331>he actually typed it down (with an error) instead of copypastingWhy
>>12355302Realms of the Haunting should be Action-Adventure plus maybe FPS, not RPG.Prince of Persia should be Action-Adventure like Another World / Flashback... or Platformer.Commander Keen is a Platformer not a Shooter.SkyRoads is a Platformer. What's the dull blue box around 7th Guest? Should be with the other Graphic Adventure games.Aladdin is a Platformer - same as the Genesis game. Except it's deeper and more thoughtful because you're playing it on PC.
>>12355361So yes, you did want that to catch on. Sorry I didn't care enough.
>>12355363>same as the Genesis gameNot quite, the screen is cropped, also missing a level IIRC.Even westerner devs disrespected PC in favor of japnese hardware
>>12355354Unfortunately, this isn’t only common among zoomers. James Rolfe, for example, is literally afraid of kb+m games.
>>12355371he isn't afraid of work, anon
>>12355371>afraidStop projecting your shit
>>12355380I remember Mike mentioning somewhere that when they played a PC game during James and Mike Mondays, he had to make a special effort to set it up on a gamepad to get James to actually play it.
>>12355384okay? congrats on watching eceleb content
>>12355326I started on PC and got into consoles later. While I always will have a hard-on for 90s PC gaming during the multi-media boom, I really have to be in a mood to play something on a computer, where as console stuff is just so easy to pick up and play.
>>12355384Yeah he doesn't like playing on kbd+mouse, we've established that
>>12355302people like you are where the term PC vegan comes from
>>12355361NTA but for those of us who actually learned how to properly type when we were young and have triple digit WPM it takes less time to type three words than highlight something/ctrl+c/move the cursor/ctrl+v
>>12355470>NTA
>>12355326I had a few PC games as a kid like hocus pocus, doom, duke3d and CyClones but spent more time with it in the 2000s playing games like thief and die by the sword and PC gaming as a whole was never very good. Maybe 15 or so great games for two whole decades.
If I want slower entertainment I'll just read a book or watch a film.Early PC games are just too slow and often convoluted for what they are. Rarely is the time investment worth the reward when console games are on the whole much more exciting.
>>12355302Gunna be 100% honest with you. You're underage and this is just a phase. Almost all these games are utter garbage.
>>12355539I've been delving into early 80's PC games, and some of them (especially simulators) are indeed incredibly obtuse. You really do have to RTFM and dedicate some time just to learn the systems, and that's ignoring whether said systems are even competently implemented, which is a whole other matter.
>>12355532>Out of the tens of thousands of retro PC games in all kinds of genres, here are a few second-tier action games I was lucky to try as a kid. Believe me, bro, PC gaming has never been good.
adult games for adult gamers like myself
>>12355561Unironically, yes.
This thread killed a frog. Well done.
>>12356912Hey, frogs are cool.
>>12357261Good for you.
>>12355371James is right desu.
>>12355302There were also arcade games and I enjoyed those as much as I did games on console as well as PC. They were all available at the time. I also enjoy modern games alongside the old ones too. However, everyone has their own preferences and they are free to their choice so long as it doesn't harm or impede others. Even some of those console games has deeper levels to play beyond the surface and enjoyment can be derived from or variations on playstyle is enough on repeat playthroughs.
>>12355461Never heard that term before
>>12358540Of course everyone has their own preferences, but most people who play exclusively on consoles are completely ignorant when it comes to PC games. The reverse is much less common.
>>12359310it's a new forced meme.
>>12357656James is a brainlet.
