does anybody else remember this game? it came with my ps2 back in the day, anyway I emulated it a couple of weeks ago and beat it, man this game was fun, it was kinda short too and kinda sucks that it ends on a cliffhanger.
the ost was really good too.
I never hear people talk about this game, is it really that obscure? or do people just don't like it?

I played it on Xbox a decade ago and found it extremely forgettable, sorry OP.

I remember having a demo disk of it, and thought the story sounded stupid. So people found a planet that's full of this material that can apparently shapeshift into anything, and they decided to give it life somehow? So now this goop that's all over the alien planet is fighting back because it's now alive and aware it's being harvested... but for some reason the goop your character uses to change forms doesn't seem to care that you're using it?

As for the gameplay, it felt like a generic 3D platformer with nothing really special going for it. Back during the 6th gen where was a bit of a resurgence of 3D platformers, but that means that there was a lot of forgettable ones like I-Ninja, Vexx, Tak, etc. Most of them generally had a gimmick (Like how you can transform into different forms with different abilities in Alter Echo) to try to make them stand out from the others, but usually it didn't add much other than be a "Use this ability to get past this obstacle" deal, or just simply act as slightly different ways to attack the same enemies.
