Finally beat this game.As kids we loved Tomb Raiders 1-3, but when 4 came out, we didn't really care anymore. My main dislike was how it was only set in Egypt and my brother just was bored of Tomb Raider by then.Last year I finally beat Tomb Raider 3 and wanted to give 4 a chance. I ended up being really disapointed in it.It not having the Croft manor as the tutorial level was bullshit. It was fun before it became "open-world" which ruined the game for me.In Tomb Raider if you come across a lock or "insert a thing here" you know "oh I must find this thing somewhere in this level". But in The Last Revelation, the thing you need may be in a completely different level.I know game guides and OPM are meant to be used, but I don't want to.It was ok, but ended up being a disapointing game. By far the worst of the 4.Also hanging ropes can fuck off.
Main problem with this game is that it's too damn long. If you trimmed it to the best 50% it would be near the top of the series because there are some really cool puzzles, traps, and places to explore.
>>12358216I'd like it a whole lot more if you took out the "interconnected levels" and made it linear like the old games.
>>12358216They wanted what was supposed to be the last of the first-gen TR games to be "epic."
Those games are unplayable today.I just spent 10 minutes to get a fucking key from behind a fucking painting
>>12358204I feel like 4 and 5 were both supposed to be the last
>>12358579Yeah tr2 is like that the whole way
>>12358621OkWhich PS1 TR is not bullshit infested like 2?
>>123586493 has more flow to it but it's also harder in some ways
>>12358204>Tomb RaiderThe only thing I beat is my dick.
>>12358702That's not very nice
