I don't get the hate. Graphically, it feels like playing a lot of the RPGs on the Saturn. I like it better than the SNES remakes.

>>12359068DQI has too much stuff added to it, it ruins the feel of the original, it adds a bunch of bullshit bosses and battles take too fucking long because you only have one party member the whole time, but you face multiple enemies in a battle.I haven't finished DQII yet, so far my only complaint is they've added so much stuff after getting the boat that it feels like a different game rather than an updated version of DWII.

DQ normally feels like you're seeing an adventure in a somewhat self-aware fantasy world happen in real time, the HD2D remakes (specifically 1 and 2) feel more like you're reading some grand epic legend that is constantly reminding you it's a grand epic legend with long speeches about how the fate of the world is resting on our shoulders and blah blah.Also your party members make way too much noise in battle (especially in 2).
