Yes, as I promised we're taking a break from the Doom quadrilogy (assuming we even go through all four books) to visit a book series that is actually kind of interesting and wholesome.See, "F.X. Nine" (real name Seth Godin) noticed that his son never read for fun, only for schoolwork - if the boy wanted to relax, he played on his NES. So, Godin decided to create some books that would bridge the gap by making novelisations of NES games. Nintendo were going to rubber-stamp the whole deal, but pulled out for whatever reason.
And yes, I will be using the entire series as a stop-gap for whatever full-length novels I'll be posting, be they Doom or some other franchise

And that's me done for now...
... but I'm not done for good!>They were creatures seemingly spawned straight from the pits of Hell—demons, zombies, fire-breathing imps—all too horrifically close to the stuff of nightmare to be real. But they were. And on the inhospitable moons of Mars, Corporal Flynn "Fly" Taggart, Earth's last line of defense against a seemingly inexhaustible supply of alien warriors, beat them back almost single-handedly.>But Taggart discovers that the war had barely begun...for while he was fighting them on Mars, the hellish creatures had established a beachhead on Earth itself. Now, with the aid of a fourteen-year-old female computer genius, an unrepentantly Mormon sniper, and the best soldier in this woman's army, Fly Taggart must defeat the invaders—and their treacherous human allies—yet again...Saturday! Be there!
>>12385648Eve's been a character since the Playstation version because there was so little meat to the original game's English story that game pulled from this book to make it work. Which is still kind of crazy, it'd be like if Captain N influenced the canon of some Nintendo game years after the fact.
