Can anyone give a crash course on how to use UDB to find secrets on a map?
>>12385521I’m not on a device with udb installed but one of the function keys(F3? F4? Probably) launches a “search” function where you can choose the category “sector property” and choose “secret” and it shows all those secrets in the map, then using linedefs and sectors nearby you can deduce with tag arrows what causes the secret to open up
>>12385521In Eureka, press Ctrl+F, select Sectors By Type, enter 9, click Select All

I'm trying to play System Shock (GOG, not enhanced) on Shockolate OpenBSD, but I've got two issues. The music is completely off-beat and hence sounds very derpy. The notes are chugging along, overlapping, and echoing. Using FluidSynth. >>12385579Whew, that took a bit but I've painted over all of the sword attack frames, though I still have to paint over all of the frames for the gun specific stuff.I do worry I might be too aggressive on the pallete limiting and dithering, I'll probably do something more relaxed for future stuff.
>>12385773https://files.catbox.moe/v4gg5w.lmp2:19 time. What I learned is that I need to be more cognizant about my ammo and ammo pick-ups, though I won't pursue this map any further unless someone beats my time.
>>12386654>I do worry I might be too aggressive on the pallete limiting and ditheringNah that looks sick man
>>12386654the idle frame where the gun is held as an angle could use some touchups since the edges are distracting, but all in all it looks fine to me, nice work.
>>12386661Oh yeah I was just working on the sword stuff, I'll be starting the gun stuff soon. I got 62 frames to paint over there. After that, I'll need to get some unique sounds for the other three weapons, player sprites and sounds, and some other shit.I suck at doing actually small scale projects.
>>12386659Well done, I concedeNo way I'm getting anywhere near thatI don't how how you are that far ahead of meThe monsters just melted awayThe ones that kept blocking me just weren't there for youThe ones that I took tons of damage from didn't attack you, you run past chaingunners and they don't attack youWhy bother, I can't compete against thatI guess this is how girls feel when they have to play sports against troons lmao
Anyone wanna make a thread challenge with a BTSX map or something? Feels like a good time for a brief aesthetic refresher.Optionally something using CCTex4.
>Training Drill mod released, feedback requestedFinally got around to trying some of it, will try some more later, but the first impressions are solid.Only major feedback at this time: After playing a lot of similar mods, I'm really into the idea of not being able to shoot while holding the run button. I'll be trying more to see if I'd want that in here, still need to find time to do so.Awesome shotgun here, by the way.
>>12386891Woah. That shotgun rules.
>>12386891That's the best centered SPAS I've ever seen for Doom.
Haven't done much other than kick back and relax a bit. Will release the Deimos-1 fork thing next week.Check this out though: https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/157240-ridge-facility-wad-for-doom-93/Doomcute out the ass, and some very pleasant spaces so far.
>>12386891>centered SPASAbsolutely cursed.I'm not sure if it would be better or worse with the stock unfolded.
>>12386891Man was not meant to see the folded spas stock from a centered position
>>12386946Probably better unfolded, but I think it looks great still. Would be sick if the draw animation showed you unfolding the stock.
>>12386654
>>12386402It's less because immersion and more because>press button, effect happensis really boring and there's no actual feedback to it like that. It just looks more like a regression to me, like this is how magic would've looked in super early versions.
>>12387242That mod is one big regression. Why are you surprised that it's shit?
Anyone make doom midis using ableton? I use it for non .mid stuff so I'm trying to stick with it instead of using a different program. It can only export one track in format 0, I tried midi merger lite to just stick them together but that expects format 1. I know GZDoom supports .wav or .mp3 but I'm trying to stay vanilla compat if I can. Thanks
>>12386930>Doomcute forkliftNow I know why it's called "DoomCUTE" because that is the most adorable thing I've ever seen.
>>12387234I'm making steady progress on the paintovers, though in the future I need to figure out a way to lessen my workload more because goddamn doing touchups and paintovers to 104 frames is tedious. There's not much left here with this project, it's mainly just finish the paintovers, player sprites/sounds, replace the berserk, replace the chainsaw, replace the backpack, and do some playtesting.I need to give myself a proper week or two off once I release this mod before I return to GMOTA.
>>12387707>I need to give myself a proper week or two off once I release this mod before I return to GMOTA.Long enough to start another distracting side project ;)

>>12387880Example demo in 2:16https://litter.catbox.moe/ypngzk.lmpYou probably don't have to let everything out at once, but it will probably be slower if you do one third at a time. This took a couple of dozen tries to get an exit.
BTW I prefer the order red-yellow-green to avoid having archviles chasing you earlier than you have to, while you're running around pressing the buttons
If Lo Wang was a blasian they would have called him Spook Gookem.
>>12387880https://files.catbox.moe/ylwcy8.lmp1:58. If I knew about the door being tied to the Cyber's death, I would have aimed for him more.
>>12387950>the door being tied to the Cyber's deathNo it's triggered when you walk into the purple pool in the middle with the soul sphere in it, then the door, well, the floor lowers, that takes 32 seconds I think (whatever 1120 divided by 35 is)But yeah great job otherwise, you nutcase you let the archviles out first lol
>>12386969That would be pretty tight, but also more work for whoever made it. I'm not sure where I fall on the folded/unfolded stock debate. Maybe unfolded when centered and folded when angled? Just in terms of how it looks in the players hands?
>>12387808Yeah this is more like itThe monsters actually get in your way and attack you, unlike that other cunt upthread who has Speedrunner's Luck
>>12386051>I feel like I'm being watched when I'm recording.I watch every demo people post for my challenges, there's just usually not much to comment on, you know? Also, I feel like I should've mentioned in the main post: For convoluted dehacked reasons, lost souls count for kills in scytheX, so you need to get them all for UV-Max. >>12388049It's just for fun, son. If Zeromaster or 4Shock decided to swing by here for some reason, they'd handily beat everyone else. >>12388530> lost souls count for kills in scytheX, so you need to get them all for UV-Max. Uh, and to clarify, everyone's demos have been valid so far. Just something to keep in mind.
Provided I have the ammo for it, I will always go out of my way to kill all the lost shits.I just hate them.
>>12388530>>12388595I noticed, it's because he had to use the pain elemental / lost soul attack for the ghosts on the last map, so lost souls are something else. Probably lost soul corpsesI also noticed they fall out of the air when they die, which looks pretty weird and very out of placeThey float out the windows and you have to chase them down because they count for killsAll very weirdI hate dehacked shit
Hello, fuckers! It's Sunday Night Shitshow!Tonight, we have Doom Core Delta running under Hard Doom.Connect to macgu.fun with Zandronum 3.2.1 or look up the server on Doomseeker, and let's begin.
>>12388680I like dehacked stuff when it's done well, but considering pretty much everyone agrees scythe2 enemies are too tanky, and those from scytheX are unremarkable or nonexistent, I think Alm's strength is clearly in his level design more than his enemy design. A map maker or two put in references to gay shit, because that's what cringe autistic kids do nowadays. Like they used to write gay fanfiction on tumblr or whatever. Anons interpret this as there being a secret cabal of trannies in control of everything and lash out. The kind of lashing out that further motivates the trannies since it's evidence that society still hates them and they're being persecuted. So you can expect even more displays of queerness as a form of "resistance", which will then further make anons think the gay influence is growing, perpetuating the cycle.

You're either someone who was named in the projects and no longer wish to be pointed out for some reason, or you didn't actually contribute, and now the seed of doubt is fully planted so I'm leaning towards the latter.
>>12390865It's okay for me, if you believe that. Like I wrote before, my point was never to give proof that I've mapped. I also admitted that I have never made Quake maps nor I want to. My point was saying, that the most effective way to fight the Quake mafia would be to make your own Quake maps. It's not the thing I care about, but you do. I care mainly about Doom, and with Doom it's the projects of /vr/, Doom Power and Doomer Boards, that keeps the Doom community alive outside of DW and lessens the DW's grip. Same thing would work for Quake, if that's the battle you want to fight.

>read Michael Abrash's Graphics Programming Black Book>find out that not only does Quake have an entirely separate pipeline for drawing monsters (affine instead of perspective correct), it even has a special simplified recursive triangle renderer for monsters that are far away (small triangles)Carmack just came up with this. it's kind stupid but it works and is 20% faster than the normal model renderer. only does flat shading: https://www.phatcode.net/res/224/files/html/ch69/69-04.htmlr_recursiveaffinetriangles controls it. I also had an idea to speed it up: always check X sizes first instead of intermingling X and Y. that way there's a higher chance of hitting the cachealso the way the level renderer only writes to the z buffer and never reads from it is pretty neat

>>12391902I can't, I just had fun with them, I liked the rhythm of the combat and the aesthetics and I solved the obnoxious trap problem by constantly saving.>>12392661If literally any other studio at the time made them they would have turned out way better, but they do have a certain charm, like how all the enemies look like Harryhausen claymations.>>12392663It's funny, maybe my taste is just bad (I love Daikatana for example, though when I play it I make the companion NPC's invincible so the game is way less obnoxious) but I fucking hate Redneck Rampage and would never recommend it. I don't even recommend either Witchaven really, not as anything more than a curiosity but there is fun to be had with them.
>>12392691For some reason the sky is black in your pic>>12392679TY I was playing with gamma 0.9, contrast 1.1 to make it easier to see, but it was causing this grey washed-out look that I was unaware of until comparing screenshots, before

>>12392727>For some reason the sky is black in your picYeah, that's why I'm thinking it's something about a different point in the level's progression. I have a save for it near the end - to look for secrets I missed - and the sky's just like your pic.
>>12392529>First 3D mapping experienceWhy not start with Quake 1 or 2? I'd imagine Doom 3 has a steeper learning curve both technically and in architectural expectations.
Too late to make it to newspost, but:[01-20] Marrow 2.0 releasedhttps://www.moddb.com/mods/marrow/downloads/marrow-20
This game is pretty chill. With Doom, the levels are generally harder due to the mechanics of the Doom 2 monsters, like homing missiles or resurrecting enemies; I have to focus a lot more, and I can't put on anything distracting in the background. With Quake, I can kick my feet up and relax and multitask by playing Quake and listening to a podcast or an album I've been wanting to listen to. Listening to vaporwave atm https://youtu.be/MBCgJt0-I3g

>>12392972Depends. Are you a tranny? The best thing since quake, actually, better. If not, a series of maps that vary extremely in quality and more than a handful force terrible tranny and twitch streamer memes into them. There are also some extremely meandering, padded maps that are quantity over quality. The guns are somehow actually all worse than the base ones. I had to use gohome because several were broken.

Pistol's arguably better, axe is much better, grenade launcher is the same but shooters faster, rocket launcher has faster killing potential, super nailgun is now an arcing railgun, lightning gun replacement may be worse with quad but can still clear a room without it.Regular nailgun is seemingly unchanged.
>>12393020I'd be willing to engage in your points, but if you can somehow claim the rocket array is somehow more enjoyable to use than the tried, true and classic rocket launcher convinces me your opinion is about as meaningful as the life of an ant
>>12393036>but if you can somehow claim the rocket array is somehow more enjoyable to useI didn't, but it is a more effective weapon at the cost of chewing through the ammo more. That is objective. >>12392989QueerBlowJob 2 was way worse both in terms of trannyshit and in terms of low quality meandering maps. I do like new weapons, even enjoyed replaying the original quake with them. While I love the old RL, the new one has its uses and you can wallclimb with it. It made me realize how much I relied on the vanilla rocket launcher for nearly everything. Also it's a sidegrade from the grenade launcher instead of making it obsolete. No maps were broken for me, but I think I played the updated version. There was one broken secret in that one shitass map that had portals out the ass, don't remember the name.>>12393020Grenade launcher is unchanged from vanilla, nailgun shoots slightly faster, evoker is cool as heck and makes you plan around its ammo which I like. Rebar launcher could use a chunkier hitbox. The pistol is fine but it encourages sniping enemies from afar which is boring.
>>12393048hell yeah I'm afraid of gender, them gunpersons be shooting up the place
>>12391912Man, D'Sparil really went all out for his dome
>>12393074>The pistol is fine but it encourages sniping enemies from afar which is boring. The original shotgun does that, though if you feel more 'inclined' to do so with the pistol because it's better, that's definitely a point towards it being a stronger replacement. You're right about the grenade launcher, just tested it myself, dunno why I thought it fired faster.
>>12393081I mean from way afar, outside the aggro range
While we're on the topic of QBJ3, how do I grab this secret? In the original you could make a very precise rocket jump, but in 3 you don't have the rocket launcher.
>>12393097try doing a rocket jumpoh wait
>install qbj3 on top of my quake that uses remaster sounds>half the new sounds in qbj3 are high res, half are 11025 / 22050 hz, which sound distorted with sndspeed 44100>have to convert all the sounds to 44100 manuallyannoying
>no one talks about how awesome Duke Advance pc version is>everyone just talks about troons and how bad qbj3 isNot surprise why the whole Duke /vr/ project failed. All you fags care more about men in dresses than good old Duke.
>>12392989>The guns are somehow actually all worse than the base ones.I was agreeing with your post until this. Quake's default double barreled shotgun sucks, qbj3's looks and sounds better, and has a cool ricochet. But the pistol is stronger than the base shotgun, which makes it worse. There's no reason for it to have infinite ammo, it just encourages sniping, which you cold do with the default Quake shotgun just fine. It's the one weapon I heavily dislike. Nailgun is just better. Default super nailgun makes regular one mostly obsolete, not the case with the rebar cannon which is a completely different weapon. GL was unchanged. Rocket launcher is a sidegrade, you no longer can use it as your bread and butter but it's more situationally useful, and better differentiates itself from the GL which I don't think it needed to but whatever. Lightning gun never felt to me like the super weapon it's supposed to be and I think the replacement is better in that aspect. That said, I always though there was too much overlap in purpose among Quake's nailgun, super nailgun, and lightning gun anyway.
>>12393086Was there a limit to the original shotgun, or could it also shoot outside of the aggro range? Not that it had a lot of maps that utilized it.>>12393115The big irony is that Duke project with one map so far is still more than what's got put together for Quake here in the last several years. It's only been that Malice Refined mod, and I doubt that even counts as a '/vr/ thing'.
>>12393120Violent Rumble was in 2021? I think that was our last (completed) Quake project.
>>12393115>Not surprise why the whole Duke /vr/ project failedYeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with Duke being a pain in the ass to map for. Also, Duke is notably less popular here than Quake or even Heretic and Hexen, so on that alone it's understandable that a project for it wouldn't go well. >>12393129I think if we do another Quake project it either needs to be much simpler (maybe even completely vanilla) or have a very clear theme or goal. Having a mod that has absolutely everything crammed into it and telling people to go nuts is a great way to get mappers to burn themselves out.
>>12393081To his pistol point, I was playing qbj3 starting with all the 1 star levels first and ran into The Fiendish Concrete. That's a level where you can stay far away from the buildings and kill about half of the monsters from afar with the pistol, including the vores and shambler. That's not a problem with the default Quake shotgun as you're gonna eventually run out of ammo, which you share with the double barrel and don't wanna spend all on sniping. You can say>just don't play like thatbut game designers nowadays know that players like to optimize away their own fun, and it's up to the designer to ensure that playing in an unfun way is sub optimal.

There would be logical arguments against calling out people making fun of QBJ3, but here's the thing: This is a fucking war. And these people made it physical and real. Because in their mind; the average player was already killing people, just by being standoffish towards anything related to Transgenderism, and so on. These people - much like some of the people on here - see words as literal acts of violence. And if your line of thinking and reasoning does not follow their epistemic reasoning and progressive direction of history towards the utopia they hope to achieve; then you are violent and evil, period the end.You can try to make an argument about how calling out preachy bullshit in a map pack for Quake is off-topic, but then YOU NEED TO make an argument about why stuffing culture war symbolism into said map pack to anger your political opponents and viewing words you don't like as violence ALSO isn't related to Quake. Moreover; bashing people for shoehorning their politics is much less strenuous and costly as the alternative that the other side wants to do right now, which is to kill these people instead of simply berate them.So it's your choice; you wanna just get your fee-fees hurt because someone did a heckin' transphobia or you wanna catch a bullet in your neck during your next polycule group meeting?

I played through all of Heretic remastered last year and have to ask why there were so many bugs preventing 100% completion, both old and new bugs. At least one missing secret was undocumented on the wiki and I had to find it by noclipping around. Did the level designers just not test their levels? Why?
>>12394003>>12394004The HECU in Black Mesa are faster, more accurate and shoot while moving, because they're basically reskinned combines of Half-Life 2. Hell they're so accurate that they make snarks useless because they just one tap them. It's not only that the weapons feels worse (Sound/animation) either, they actually are worse, they don't shoot as fast, and you have less reserve ammo.Coupled with the fact that the movement is slower and more slippery instead of fast and snappy slows the game down so much.Half-Life 1 combat feels like a slightly slower, more "tactical" Quake. Black Mesa combat feels more like a modern shooter, and I say this in the most degatory way possible. Also I hate the HL2 pprint they added in.Look at some gameplay of Surface Tension in HL1 and Black Mesa and it's night and day.>I don't mind puzzlesIf only it was actual puzzles, it's basically pointless, annoying busy work that wasn't in the original for very good reason, it fucks with the pacing and are only puzzles if you are under the age of six or slow in the head.It has been years since I played it and there's been patches to it so maybe it's slightly better now but still, if you really want to play Black Mesa at least play the original first.
>>12394045Making it slower and more like a modern shooter is indeed concerning, thanks. That's exactly what I was afraid of when I originally asked. I'm probably gonna play the original for a few hours, then play Black Mesa for a little bit to see the changes then.

This is an outside shot, but I'm looking for the 2018 Hell-Forged alpha with the original "hell armor" hands on the vorpal blade. I haven't been able to turn up a link to this build on the Internet Archive or any WAD hosts I know.I know. I took a screenshot of a YouTube video. I'm sorry. It was the only evidence of pic related I could get.

>>12394062Awesome, thanks Ace.
Should I play the original Ter Shibboleth first, or play the Drake version?
>>12390309I don't know anything about the drama or trannies but I just can't play that shit because of the main character's voice acting. The jump sound is complete ear-rape and I'm expected to hear it every time I jump... in QUAKE.
>>12393709You are right, but here's whats wrong with this: You are fighting this war by turning towards your own allies and shooting them. You are going to your own base and smearing the battle plan with your own shit. You are bombing your own home town.Nobody here is defending QBJ3. Nobody thinks it good. What people argue against is that they don't want this "Quake guys vs Quake trannies" fought on their turf. The trannies you are having war against are not here on /vr/. The only people who are reading your posts are people who already agree with you, but are tired of trannies and want to discuss about video games instead. The guys who you fighting against are on those multiple discords. Go there to do the fighting. Or do a youtube vid or post on r/Quake, if you want a neutral turf. Don't shit where you eat.
>>12395387Just go drake. The newer maps have visual improvements and all cool drake stuff. No reason to play the original.
>nearly a day passes>the QBJ3 shit starts up againCan you at least mix it up a little next time? Like wait anywhere from 16 to 28 hours before doing your retarded shtick again.
>>12394186Duke Advance's biggest faults are shitty controls, shitty resolution, lack of music and lag. Pc version fixes those since it's for eduke. The maps themselves aren't that bad, and the new weapons and enemies are quite cool. I mean quad shotgun, that actually powerful golden desert eagle, discount arch-viles, a fucking overlord head with spider legs and two-headed assault trooper that throws pipebombs. That's just cool.
>>12395383My pleasure. It was removed in the first place not because I liked instacasting so much, but rather I couldn't figure out how to make it compatible with the hand animation in a way that makes sense. It was a long time ago. The technical aspect of it probably played a big role too. It was piss easy to reimplement it now with virtually no side effects so far, in part thanks to the magic/hotbar/event code having seen a lot of polish since then. Usually it pays off to wait until later to (re)implement something when the codebase's had time to mature from the first implementation (which is always undeniably shit, no exceptions).
Maps of first episode of Doom X are done and it's gonna be released soon. My penis is ready. Been waiting for this for over 20 years.
I've been playing Reds Over World which I downloaded on a complete whim and it ended up being super fun. Similar to BoA in many ways but it's clearly not trying to be something Doom can't handle and is much better for it. And the setting being a goofy 1990s Red Alert style WW3 thing is great. Can anybody recommend me some other Doom mods to play afterwards with high-precision combat? Just something with mainly straight-shooting guns and fewer explosives with high lethality. Headshots are a bonus.
>>12395495Hideous Destructor.
>>12395520Nah, that's way too hardcore and has too many mechanics for Doom to handle. The UI is kind of a clusterfuck and you have weird shit like bullets exploding in your hands if you fill your magazines too fast. Fun gameplay but god damn the developer didn't know when to stop.
>>12395528You're out of luck then. The only other mod I can think of is SoldierZ. That and Scavver's Paradise.
>>12395495Some of us here have been messing with Deimos-1 lately, much less hardcore than HD or Deathstrider but still similarly balanced. It doesn't include headshots but you could try combining it with the Critical Shots mod for those.Might still not be what you're looking for.
>>12395495Siren TC
>>12395536>>12395538>>12395643Thanks guys, knew I could count on you.
>>12395686can also try AMC. It's weird mix of classic fps + tacticool shit. On higher difficulties you have to engage with its complex mechanics of armor types and their resistances. For example paranormal types literally won't take damage unless you have something against them like holy crossbows or silver bullets, and that mod has 7-8 different types of armor. It's giga autistic but was still manageable for me
Does the shambler have two or three melee attack animations? I know he does a vertical strike, and he does a right-left combo, but sometimes he only does a right and then does the lightning attack and I don't know if this is because I am causing a pain animation during his attack
>>12395528>weird shit like bullets exploding in your hands if you fill your magazines too fasThat really only applies to the Space Age Piece of Shit ZM99. The Bastard in Pepper Grinder is a good replacement for that.
>>12395758He has three animations. If he's at full health he'll always smash, but otherwise there's a 1/3rd chance of each animation playing at the start of an attack sequence. After a left or right swing he has a 50% chance to go right into a swing from the opposite side. Otherwise he'll go back to his 'running' state and need to check whether or not he can attack again, which could result in a smash.
>>12395793TY I decided to test it myself and my initial guess was way off, I counted five>vertical>left>right>left-right>right-leftAnd the only way to be safe from a zap is to always assume it's just one swipe and to bump into him in between every swipe
>>12394173The Romero/Sandy feud has been going on for a long time.

Just beat QBJ3. I saved the big three-hour map for last, and it was an absolute letdown. Shitty balance, ammo and health starvation, and you're basically expected to know where the secret powerups are in advance if you want to clear some of the bigger waves.
Is it a good idea to just go through all the cacowards winners in chronological order?
>>12394698oh no that sucks
>>12393097Either rocket climb off the wall with micromissiles or drop down there later from above. Maybe there is even secret passage towards it somewhere, or teleporter. >>12393771Try Half-Life Mmod instead, much better than both of them.

>>12395428>Nobody here is defending QBJ3. Nobody thinks it good. The prevailing opinion from people who aren't busy shitting themselves about the mappers' personal attributes is that it's fine. Some of the maps suck, some of them are good. Some of the new weapons are entertaining, some suck. Some of the enemy redesigns look good, some don't.All in all, a pretty normal jam.

>>12394040>At least one missing secret was undocumented on the wikiI find that hard to believe. Were you playing the original maps or the remade ones?
>>12395962Same thoughts. Still haven't finished it entirely, but I've moderately enjoyed what I've played of it so far. The 'resurfaced' maps have been much more memorable than what I first played them in previous jams.

Is there a way to see if a Quake mod is vanilla compatible without opening it? I want to play more stuff in MarkV WinQuake but the only one that works so far is Beyond Belief, everything else gets error messages or graphical bugs or music doesn't play.
>>12396346Not really. You kinda just have to go by whatever the readme says. Most mods only seem to care about Ironwail or vkQuake compatability now. Even Quakespasm has fallen by the wayside.
Oh, Insomnia also works in MarkV WinQuake, but I am stuck trying to find a way to the blue key and don't know how to progress. I've actually gotten lost in a large minority of Quake maps. Ironically, I still prefer the original Quake campaign compared to the mods I've played so far, whereas with Doom I never replay the iwads.
>>12396265>Section 28 refers to a part of the Local Government Act 1988, which stated that local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales "shall not intentionally promote homosexuality or publish material with the intention of promoting homosexuality" or "promote the teaching in any maintained school of the acceptability of homosexuality as a pretended family relationship".Once again, you're shooting at your perceived allies. Give it a rest, you idiot. And yeah, the guy who made that map got banned off their Discord server for it, because it flew under the staff's radar at first. He then went on to bitch about it incessantly, because homophobes are always the biggest prancing la-la homos around.

>>12396186>>a book prop with a title that most people aren't gonna readThe whole ending of that map sucks because it's massively deflatory coming after the solid aesthetics of the rest of the map. Walking over something you may not have noticed and getting a weird message merely exacerbates it.

What is an actual illegal Doom mod? I guess UAC Labs and the map based on Columbine, but I want to go further.
I'd prefer if we just didn't talk about Quake at all, really. I only ever cared about Rocket Arena and Team Fortress.
>CC4, MAP01Pretty alright, but giving me all that bullet ammo yet no Chaingun is patently fucking criminal.
>>12390449There we go. I forgot I really liked all the earth colors in CC4 along with all that nice green highlighting it, also that gray sky. Still, this map would have been WAY better with a Chaingun.https://litter.catbox.moe/lslddo421d1hzkh2.lmp
>>12396770UAC Labs ain't illegal. There is not a law that bans murderers from making wads. Closest thing of illegal wad would be Doom Rampage Edition because it has something like 30 actual mp3s from known bands inside. But no authorities care really, and it's easy to get Rampage Edition.
>>12396908Hypothetically, someone could put CP in a .wad, then it'd be illegal (in most countries, anyway).
>>12396718I don’t know if I played the previous Quake jam, but Violent Rumble was rather varied. There were some decent maps with neat “Quakecute” and interesting gameplay ideas, then there was Rusty Bucket Bay, and then above everything was CoffeeAchievers high quality stuff.

His complaints about it having teleporting gobbledegook and saying elsewhere that he didn't like Gremlins is why, when it came time to do Sub Mortem, I made "Into King Boner's Manor" full of teleporting gremlins lol.
