Why are there so many top tier Capcom ports to Dreamcast?>Super Street Fighter II X for Matching Service was originally released as a Dreamcast exclusive only in JP. It was developed and published by Capcom.
>>12389259Badly crunched graphics due to DC not being able to handle 384x224, in fact, the 240p mode is not a real one, is just 640x480 scaled in half.
>>12389261That game doesn't have a 240p mode.
>>12389261Also this port is supremely good other than the lack of native 384x224p. Literally everything else was done right.
>>12389259That cover art is top tier
>>12389259Capcom had a great working relationship with Sega on the Saturn which continued with the Dreamcast. Not only was the For Matching Service titles exclusive to Japan, they were online direct to customer releases on the Dreamcast.
Darkstalkers and Alpha 3 are better on Saturn
>>12389259I have the double impact sf3 for dc and it was the only way I had played sf3 until 3rd impact was released on psn for the ps3. It was a good port but I never saw an aecade machine with sf3 all of high school/college. I have no idea if it was a good port but I played the fuck out of it.
