is this controller legit? seller said it's from japan
>>12390216yes
You can tell it's real from the fit and finish.
>>12390216what I would give for an OEM quality Dualshock 2/3 with a USB-C port
Does Japan make controllers that cure cancer or something? Why not just buy one in your own country?

>>12390342add a usb-c otg adapter and you are good to go.
>>12390416I want a modern OEM repro to go with my PS Classic USB digital pad since it doesn't have analog or vibration. Actually I can forgo vibration too because PS Classic's front USB ports do not supply sufficient power so the whole thing crashes
>>12390216Yeah it's real.
>>12390216What the hell is that goo that comes out of nowhere on the DualShock 2s? It has my favorite d-pad ever so it’s one of my top controllers personally but I’ve never had any other controller from any other system 1st or 3rd party that does this.
>>12390434>PS Classic's front USB ports do not supply sufficient power so the whole thing crashesthat's news to me. God what a mess of a mini console compared to it's contemporaries
>>12391401I have no problem shitting on PS Classic but the front USB ports function as designed, there's no error with them. They can power the controllers that shipped with the console but if you try to plug in a Dualshock 3, it's unable to power the vibration motors so the console will crash. It's unfortunate and I wish it supplied more power but it's not really a mess. If you split the rear USB port into a hub (with an OTG adapter) then it can power a USB storage and as many vibration controllers as you want.
>>12390338Really? I have trouble telling just from looks, the bootlegs have gotten very close so I have to open them up (poorly) to sort of tell.
>>12390651it's just how it is. every dual shock i've owned, from PS1 to PS3, have had the dog nose-like rubber on the sticks turn sticky and goopy when left unused for a while. was like this even back when they were new, and it happens faster if you leave them in the sun.
>>12390651It happens to original DualShocks too. I unboxed my PSone for the first time in at least 20 years recently and the controller was all slimy and gross. Old rubber tends to start breaking down over time, regardless of how things are stored.
