Wii U Pro controller appreciation thread. This is great for retro gaming. Anyone else use one? I mean, it's not like you need an actual Wii U to use it.

The right stick being above the face buttons means I can't do my stupid sperg claw where I have my pointer finger on the top face button and my thumb operating the other three. So I don't like it.

Yeah, its fine. On and off heavy use for a decade and it works. Left stick is starting to show weakness on its right side sadly but for the price and how long it lasted already, im going to use it until it fails and replace it rather than repair.

I've been using a Zelda branded power A switch pro controller with all my 'mulaters on Mac. its 1/3 the weight of an XBONE controller so it feels cheap but it cost me like $4 at the thrift store. used the Wii classic controller with the weird shape to 'mulate on my Wii before having a decent Mac that could run everything, (which I bought my first MacBook Pro with covid money). but the early days of the 'rone I was playing chrono trigger and all sorts of SNES and Genesis, as well as psx games on my PS2 (they shared a component cord) right off a letterbomb'd Wii the Wii classic controller made a huge difference since like for example you didnt even have enough buttons on the Wiimote to play most systems and wouldn't have been able to get the Chrono doll. but it plugged into a wiimote which was really extremely clunky and stupid. im sure the Wii U greatly improved on it, but its also not retro (and even though the original Wii IS retro, on this board you will get banned for making a topic on it because it makes too many people view their mortality) the Wii U definitely isn't. but the controller can be used for retro games
