That's enough for tomorrow - I'll have a new thread for you kids
>>12394492>jo guestcame buckets to her
>>12394562>>12394565oooohhh I loved that report, but in my country got published 3 issues later.
>>12394746Are you gonna do these after the PS2 release? Because what happened was that this PS1 magazine continued all the way into 2002 or 2003 or something, all while the PS2 magazine was happening I believe
>>12395487I hope he makes until issue 85 or 79 that is the last 2001 issue.
>>12395487>>12395619I'll post all the scans I have - sadly, there aren't as many scans of the 00s-era OPM UK, which is a shame as I remember digging the "fuck it, let's do whatever we feel like doing" vibe of the last few years. I recall Nintendo Official Magazine having a similar vibe during the Gamecube years, which was so much better than the "lads mags" drivel of Official PS2 Magazine and leagues ahead of the super-corporate garbage NOM UK turned into when the Wii came out. After I'm done with OPM UK, I'm not sure what I'll post next. I might ask you guys for suggestions, with two caveats:1. Preferably magazines from the Anglosphere - no offence to the ESOL anons, but even if I found scans they'd have a pretty niche audience2. I won't be posting Official PS2 Magazine UK. I enjoy reading along with you lot, and having to reread the sub-Zoo/FHM/Nuts crap that passed itself off as games journalism would make me roll my eyes so much that I'd unlock the secrets of perpetual motion
>>12395619Yeah, that image is my period. Fuck me if I don't recognize those covers already at glance
>>12395619>James Pond 2>Celebrity Deathmatch>fucking Simpsons Wrestling>Monsters Inc: Scare Island>Creatures 3Damn, this magazine didn't go out with much dignity, did it?
>>12394596This review pleases me.
>>12395639I can ALMOST forgive the licensed games because they were of cartoons that were really popular (Simpsons was still good AND this was their only game for that console gen)But yeah, expecting people to give a shit about a port/remake of an Amiga platformer and a Creatures sequel that even Wikipedia can barely be bothered to say "Yeah, this existed"
>>12395636I want more british magazines:plasystation power or official ps2 or official xbox magazine Or sega saturn magazines from UK, or dreamcast magazinse from UK>I won't be posting Official PS2 Magazine UKOK
>>12395639Mate, those issues are from 2002-2004, take into account it has to compete with PS2, GBA, PC and XBOX. They aren't bad games for a 8-10 years old console.
>>12395639>>12395668I mean, who gives a shit about the cover art. They had good ones and shit ones. The magazine is more than that. There was still stuff coming out in 2001, mostly Spider-Man and Harry PotterAlso, Monsters Inc was good from what I remember
>>12394596Wow, 9 out 10? seriously? 7/10 would have been fair or 6/10.>>12394589Medievil just a 7/10OK this is the worst issue ever in this magazine, nothing can top this. Not even all those megaman games.
>>12395668Home computers were hot-shit back in the 80s and practically ruled the British gaming scene. I can kinda understand why a bunch of seasoned games journalists would have given Robocod and Creatures 3 front page focus. As for Celebrity Deathmatch and Simpsons Wrestling, both were massively popular telly shows back at that time. They would have easily sold issues based on that alone, even if the games themselves would turn out to be dogshit.
