Three fucking games and no one thought to add a lock-on camera.

They were too busy shilling it where it didn't belong to actually make the games good.
>>
>>12396092
That would make it too easy, are you a chump?
>>
>>12396305
This. Might as well have your guy auto chase the monkeys too
>>
backlogged hates these games for the non-standard controls.

>no one thought to add a lock-on camera.
Would honestly ruin the gameplay. If you don't understand how you should stick to your elf games.
>>
>>12396092
It's a sneak game, not a shoot game.
>>
>>12396490
backloggd is full of zoomers that can't stand to play the original version of silent hill 2 because of tank controls.

Yeah nothing says challenge like having to mash L1 over and over again to re-center the camera, or having to choose between moving your character and moving the camera because the latter is controlled with the D-pad for some deranged reason. God forbid the player is allowed to see their target, that would be too easy.
>>
>>12397715
Use your right hand to operate on the d-pad, or temporarily switch between left hand on the d-pad and right on the stick
>>
>>12397715
>having to mash L1 over and over again to re-center the camera
Retard, by this logic, any game that has any kind of camera control is bad because you need to be constantly controlling the camera, even if it had lock-on, you would still need to be constantly "mashing" the lock-on button.

>any game that has any kind of camera control is bad because you need to be constantly controlling the camera
The obvious difference being that no other game maps camera control to the D pad. You have to choose between moving or adjusting the camera since they are both left-thumb inputs.

>even if it had lock-on, you would still need to be constantly "mashing" the lock-on button
Ever heard of a toggle?

This is N64 controller tier convoluted.

Another zoomer filtered

The original silent hill 2 has a "3D control" method, though....
>>
>>12398353
A game that doesn’t map the camera to the D pad.
>>
>>12398213
Bro this game is for casuals. It just has bad controls.
>>
>>12398919
if a casual game is too hard, maybe games aren't for you.
>>
>>12396092
They thought of it, but decided against it

>unironically begging for slop-on controls
>>
>Goal is to find and capture apes
>Lock on and just hold forward as your character automatically rotates toward the ape
Think about it.
>>
>>12399553
The game isn’t hard, can you read? I’ve 100%’d all three games. I’m replaying it after years and noticing the controls suck. It isn’t that complicated.
>>
>>12399743
>Goal is to find and capture apes
>you start the game with a device that lets you see them through walls
>hold forward 98% of the game regardless since you’re going to be re-centering the camera constantly
>entire right thumbstick dedicated to swinging a weapon you would only want to swing forward anyway
Think about it.
>>
The games unironically would be way too easy if they didn't play like ass, they do literally nothing else to make the apes hard to catch
>>
>>12399557
Your ass isn’t a source btw
>>
ape escape only exists because Sony wanted to show off the analogue function on the DS1. it's a glorified tech demo and nothing more. oh, and YUMI UOOH KIDPUSSY
>>
>>12399760
Na they're fine, maybe you'd prefer bop it
>>
>>12396092
>game is called Ape Escape
>you lock up apes instead of helping them escape
