the real answer is that rockstar can barely get one game out every decade with all the combined mass of their studios working on it. giving a revival to an under appreciated 6th gen series is very low on the list of things they've let fall by the wayside.

Its not that Manhunt 2 didn't get a PC release, I think it was sold on Direct2Drive or Gamersgate at some point. And even then its worth stressing that Rockstar putting their games on Steam is not the be-all-end-all for quality, their Renderware era games require fan patches to be remotely playable on modern OS's.

It's not as memory holed as Smuggler's Run I think, as people still talk about Manhunt 2 often enough. I think with some proposed changes and an extra year of development it could've been a really great game.

Strongly disagree. MR2 was way creepier than the first game and really nailed the atmosphere. But it was retarded for not giving any reason to perform more gruesome executions. The snuff film aspect in MH1 made a lot of sense.

I remember Left 4 Dead 2 being absurdly censored in Australia too, corpses would simply vanish instead of remaining on the ground, etc.
