Picked up a Japanese 5500 model, I want to mod this to be the ultimate PS. Outside of an ODE mod what should I do? Not afraid to spend some money. Also, which place does the best shell kits.

Recap and install xstation
SPDIF mod it for digital audio
In-Game-Reset (IGR) mod kit for quick xstation returns
8bitdo wireless controller mod

I believe there is also a mod to let you retain xstation and a disc drive at the same time. It is a shame to remove functionality in favor of an ODE, even if an ODE is an upgrade.
