And if so which version is superior?
The Saturn version has better atmosphere, the lighting is much better, and the PSX version has a very shitty draw distances because you can see the world build itself in big square chunks in front of you which is really distracting imo.Otherwise the PSX version has slightly higher internal resolution; the hints on how to progress in the story and in how some of the mechanics work are more clear, and it has some new content. On top of the 100 floor bonus dungeon (which trust me, is NOT worth playing), there are also some new items and "new enemies" which are palswapped stat buffs or regular enemies. These get mixed into the main dungeon as well, which was also added 5-6 floors; but most of the new additions are more annoying than they are fun. For instance in the Saturn version I'd play around with patterns, in the PSX version I'd avoid them like the plague because they added so many detrimental ones that can fuck you up. The extra 5-6 floors also feel like they add nothing of value. There are a couple of cool new items including weapons though.
>>12403374It's a game that's more interesting than it's good.If you can jap -> Switch versionIf you can't -> fantranslated Saturn version with the 3D pad
>>12403374Play the Saturn version. The PSX version is uglier and everyone I've ever talked to who played it said the extra content (the 100 floor dungeon) is a waste of time.Avoid the later versions with the anime art. The game makes no sense aesthetically without the 90s edgelord artstyle.
>>12403374The wii version since that's what I've got?
