Now that we've all come to a consensus and agree that Sega was calling its first console in North America the "SEGA System" and only reserved the term "Master System" as some ambiguous reference to a mere game/light-gun combo sold on the side, I would like to know why they didn't choose "SEGA Base System" or "SEGA Super System" when they decided to change the name several years later.Imagine how redpilled it would have been if Sega was using the word "based" back in the 80's. They could advertise it saying "SEGA: The Base (or Based) Video Game System."
There’s never been a console called the Sega System. You are suffering from paranoid schizophrenic delusions. Also Americans largely rejected the crappy Sega Master System. But the Genesis was a classic.
