It's okay but nothing amazing. Its main quality is the fact that it's story focused, cutscenes and dialogue focused through comm radios, before that became the norm for console games that aren't RPGs. The story has eerie similarities with Resident Evil at times.

Good for you. Were you going to say anything about it?

I'm almost certain they had this game in mind when they were tinkering with those early first person Resident Evil concepts. Just zombies in a spooky house instead of zombies in a spooky moon base.

It looks cool. I want to play it

This game could be genuinely scary if you were just a team of space marines and not stomping around in combat mechs. Even then it's still spooky in parts like when you get lured down into the mines.

This was one of the first PS1 games I ever rented so I have fond memories of it even if it's not that great.

For me the english voice acting kills the PS1 version

I don't know if I'd call it good. But it's definitely unique. It's the only Mecha-Survival Horror-RPG hybrid I can think of. The survival part is no joke either. Healing items and energy refills are scarce and there's a finite number of weapon pickups in the game. Weapons that use ammo like rocket launchers and miniguns can't be reloaded. Once they run dry, they're discarded. Enemies will also try to target and destroy your weapons. You can carry 6 weapons and equip 3 at a time. I'm almost certain you could get softlocked in certain places if they manage to destroy all your guns and you're unable to find new ones or backtrack to previous ones you passed up. But it's never happened to me. I have had a lucky hit blow up a a really powerful laser or cannon and force me back to using some shitty lower end backup though.

What about it looks cool? What makes the game look fun to play? Do you know?
>>
It's a bad game but it would have been a fantastically sleazy late 80s OVA.
