This game is really fucking stressful
what aspect/s, open up to uncle /vr/ you can talk to us
>>12430038It's notTR games are
>>12430045I think it's mostly the inventory/resource management, shit drives me insane.
>>12430097i never got into the series because of this, and the slow movement in general. i just didn't like it.but for some reason, i tried dino crisis and finished it. decided to go for it again recently, and dropped it right away
>>12430123>annoying infinite enemy respawns>300 pages of files and you have to read them to find clues for puzzles>that wall that's completely dark and looks just like another wall? Yeah you have to inspect it in order to climb it!!>twice as long loading times between every camera angle because the game literally has to load twice as many backgrounds; unless you're playing the PC version>the game just gives up at the end and gives the player an infinite ammo lazer gun
Look mom I flooding the catalog with RE threads again!
>>12430038>>12430127Filtered
>>12430038>explore rooms>find items>items lead to key>open doors>repeatWhats so hard about it?
>>12430231Hunters are impossible and I have too much input lag to aim up and catch them mid-jump
>>12430097You should see the series inspiration. It takes it a step further and even party members are resources you need to manage on top of inventory.
>>12430038Does this game have any tarantulas in it?
Do we really need weekly resident evil 1 threads?
>>12430038That's what makes it scary. I find it scarier than SH because of the stress.
>>12430339Weekly?
>>12430038Well it's a horror game, it's meant to be tense. Restrictions and adversity are the whole point.
>>12430289There are giant spider enemies, and a huge spider as a boss battle.
>>12430038OG Resident Evil is stressful by design, captain obvious.https://youtu.be/tPHmBqrqBq4
>>12430289Yes, a few and they are quite realistic even for the time, so if you're arachnophobic you might want to shrink the screen or sit further away from it. That helps with my own phobias. https://residentevil.fandom.com/wiki/Giant_SpiderThis has some screenshots of them.
>>12430038I started playing this tonight, the low ammo idea is killing me because the knife sucks. Just passed the dogs breaking through the window. Any better to use knife?
>>12430038You can cut down on the stress by keeping mental log of what tangible progress you make as opposed to just wandering around, so that if you die, you can repeat those tasks more efficiently and build a sense of how the game intends you to loadout.
>>12430289Yeah and it's stupid. Idk why but I think the spiders are dumb .
>>12433983Not on the dogs. You can knock down the zombies with a few bullets, you don't have to kill them at first. Just shoot em and run by.
>>12434765Wow
>>12434765big if true>gets puked on
>>12430038Trial and error game design>Combat is flawedBetter than Alone in The Dark in some fundamental areas such as enemy feedback and tells. But until mid-game you really have to know the spawns.>PuzzlesThey are boring with a lot of trial and error. It's painful not to do the puzzle in the correct order and have to backtrack to complete it. The problem with the game is that it doesn't allow for different play styles. I think DMC1 is the best iteration of this style of game made by Capcom and benefits greatly from having an actual system in place. Other than that, it's really good for its time.
>>12435680Isn't the whole point of the game not to be balls-out action?
>>12435680 > I think DMC1 is the best iteration of this style WTF are you talking about ?
