DPAD feels fantastic, though no centre pivot point without modding, but you can disable diags in firmware
Also why does metal make you worry about durability, it's mag alloy

I have one, it's pretty cool. If you're a big Game Boy fag it's worth looking into.

Works great in my experience, they had some issue with the battery packs shitting the bed if you let them run completely dry but they shipped out replacements under warranty and were supposed to ship chargers at some point as well free of charge.

Thanks anons. OP here. I will seriously consider this thing since I really like my gameboy pocket. I did not enjoy the dpad on the gbc. I will wait for my birthday or something.

Does anyone have an evercade? Is it decent? Or does it have any big flaws? I've been curious about them for a few years but never got that excited because the library of games wasn't enticing but now it's got a few different models and more well rounded catalog of games. So any input on this would be helpful.

All I know is that their shit is super easy to brick when updating the firmware on them.

I love using the chromatic a lot for streaming some of my quick games whenever I just want to plug and play on a voice call. I can’t really justify the 300 dollar price tag for the sapphire screen. But the quality is very good, but if you don’t care about streaming I would recommend buying a prebuilt Funnyplaying GBC or DIY it yourself. It’s way cheaper and much more customizable. Plus I don’t feel like I have to protect the chromatic from any sort of damage cuz of the price
