Any way to patch a pokemon rom hack on a phone? Or will i just have to find a prepacked version. Nothing in particular, but I know some require self patching and its typically done with a .exe
>>
>>12433885
Find an online rom patcher. They work directly from your browser, you just have to supply the rom and patch files. I don't see why it wouldn't work on a phone browser.

No-devs have the worst takes on Twitter arguing about “sovl” or Discord drama. It's not that devs won't barge into Discord drama, but at least they have the know-how and know what they're doing. No-devs will repeat something they've read or watched somewhere. There's also the begging and crying for games and translations as if that would help.

How about we post actual real stuff that isn't just bullshit astroturds?

For instance, I don't see anyone talking about Pasta la Vista, a SMW romhack that mostly overhauls it's engine to recreate SMB1 and it feels more faithful then Mario All stars.

And I don't wanna hear any stupid faggots bitching about N64 Animu paranoic fetish games that will never exist or GBSlop.

fat moot /v/orld 2 progress:
more exits are finished, but i wasn't happy with the amount of fat girls in the hack so i'm planning a few more levels specifically with more fat girls in mind. i've also been reworking some levels to play better or just look nicer
spoilers as always for the level webms, in this one you get a perma fire flower that shoots forward. don't know if i should keep it to 2 sections or add a third, in my playtest runs it's about a whole minute long which i'm sure a normal player will take longer than, but still unsure how short is "disappointing/i wanted more" short

awesome work on the sprites! i've really enjoyed seeing them.

yes, i've been doing some work on that! not everything's done, but i've set up everything (like the flags) to easily handle the new changes when they're added. this is what will be different in fm/v/2:

>1
you won't have to open the rom itself, i'm including a patch that inserts the graphics directly, and i'm also separating the moot and may graphics so any reskin will work on either character
i figured out how to overwrite the player graphics manually with uberasm and used it for a level already, but i want to see if i can do it within the 32x32 patch first before i start having uberasm handle the player graphics. but this does mean i'm able to control where the graphics are loaded from at any time now, which will make things a lot easier internally

>2
there's still some special graphics like blob sprites or name text that are separate from the main graphics, but i've already given them their own ExGFX files and split them between characters so it'll be easy to edit and insert. some are still unfinished right now but they all load the way they should

>3
the player palettes will be changeable within a dev level, LM keeps pointers to custom palettes at $0EF600, so it's just a matter of having the game follow them and load the palette data from there. this will probably be the easiest part to change

tl;dr, separate graphics files, the tools will handle inserting them, player palettes are changeable in LM
it's not an all-in-one patch, but hopefully, having all the graphics separated and easy to change and insert will make the process much easier than before

Thanks that worked!

Fun fact: the concept art in Grandia Digital Museum which use Highres mode don't work in Mednafen/Beetle Saturn, but do work in Ymir, so that's a + for Ymir even in its early state. However Ymir screenshots are stretched instead of PAR and atm there doesn't seem to be an option for it.

I've been making this tile editor, its a work in progress and I'm kind of stuck in the game engine part so I'll just post what I have.
The idea being you take a save state of a gameboy, nes or master system scene. Extract the tiles and tilemap and then you can export to work on whatever console. Example is you take mario land graphics and put them into your own engine on master system.
I've got 4 separate programs as putting them together might look like spaghetti code.
You would think nes to sms would be easy but the attribute table is very effective for reusing tiles, I think I'll just divided the pallete in 4 and duplicate the tiles in vram.

Playing through the old demo, it still suffers from the issue that most American made indie games suffer, questionable to outright bad enemy placement and enemies sometimes have too quick reaction time, and yes even the modern demi suffers from this, mostly because these developers don't take into consideration the old design philosophy of good games from this era, make it fun, plus making it for little kids, but I will say this, the old style of the old version has more charisma if still amateurish sprites, sucks the guy has the worst type of autismo ever and will NEVER finish this.
>>
>>12460742
The absolute worst part was the rank system, the micro time limit gimmick and a few bullshit "ha ha gotcha " parts, like not being able to jump through a platform that look like you could below and those shitty teeth plants
