You know I don't think I ever played it again after that first time on the Dreamcast. It was the reason I got a Dreamcast in the first place, but it didn't really click with me the same way that 1-3 done did.

I bought the gamecube port back in the day but never bothered playing through much of it at all. I was spoiled by REmake's visuals and atmosphere. Going fully real-time for CV was a mistake. The game straight up looks worse than the PS1 games because everything just appears barren. There's no detail, no atmosphere, to the levels. And for what? so the camera would move?

>>12434842And the kicker is that they never even do anything with the camera besides some very basic pans and turns. And there's a first person aiming gimmick in 2 boss fights. That's about it. Dino Crisis and Silent Hill did much more interesting thing with 3D environments on weaker hardware.
